The GI Joe Movie had one of the baddest ass intro theme's in cartoon history.

Growing up as a kid, GI Joe wasn't allowed in my house. Toys, cartoons, nothing. I glanced it occasionally but nothing to get hooked on.

A few months ago Cartoon Network(or was it Toon Disney?), played the movie in 5 chunks for a week around 1am. That theme and intro was all kinds of badass. It might've been cheesy but it got my blood stirring.

Anyone have the lyrics? All I remember is

Crashing through the sky.
Comes a fearful cry.
Cobra. COOOBRAAAAA!

Movie wasn't too shabby either. I enjoyed the story around Cobra Commander and the lost city(Cobra-La?).

I WAS ONCE A MAAANN...

The intro was awesome, really got the blood flowing. Great imagery, music, etc. Good movie too.

edit: The lyrics...

Crashing through the sky comes the fearful cry:

Cobra! (Cobra!) Cobra! (Cobra!)

Armies of the night, evil taking flight!

Cobra! (Cobra!) Cobra! (Cobra!)

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide,

Panic spreading far and wide! Who can turn the tide?

G. I. Joe! (a real American hero) G. I. Joe is there!

G. I. Joe! (a real American hero) G. I. Joe is there!

Fighting for freedom wherever there's trouble over land and sea and air,

G. I. Joe is there!

Can the world oppose the deadliest of foes?

Cobra! (Cobra!) Cobra! (Cobra!)

Joe will risk it all to end the evil call of

Cobra! (Cobra!) Cobra! (Cobra!)

Never give up, never say die,

Walking tall with banners high, they sound the battle cry:

G. I. Joe! (a real American hero) G. I. Joe is there!

G. I. Joe! (a real American hero) G. I. Joe is there!

Fighting for freedom wherever there's trouble over land and sea and air,

G. I. Joe is there!

[Narrator: G. I. Joe is the code name for America's daring, highly trained special mission force.

Its purpose: to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world.]

G. I. Joe! (a real American hero) G. I. Joe is there!

G. I. Joe! (a real American hero) G. I. Joe is there!

Fighting for freedom wherever there's trouble over land and sea and air,

G. I. Joe is there!

G. I. Joe! (a real American hero) G. I. Joe is there!

G. I. Joe!

They never give up
They never say die
Walking tall with banners high
They sound the battle cry-
Yo Joe! Yo Joe!

The main character, Duke's cousin, sucked ass.

Nemesis Enforcer/SGT. Slaughter fight = awesome.

Edit* Found out it was Duke's brother.... poor Duke.

GI Joe's intro was great, yes. But it can't beat Transformers: The Movie's soundtrack. They even included it in Boogie Nights!

You got the touch
You got the power

After all is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run,
You're a winner

You got the moves, you know the streets
Break the rules, take the heat
You're nobody's fool

You're at your best when when the goin' gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

You got the touch
You got the power

When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm

You got the heart
You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch

You never bend, you never break
You seem to know just what it takes
You're a fighter

It's in the blood, it's in the will
It's in the mighty hands of steel
When you're standin' your ground

And you never get hit when your back's to the wall
Gonna fight to the end and you're takin' it all

You got the touch
You got the power

When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm

You got the heart
You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch

You're fightin' fire with fire
You know you got the touch

You're at your best when when the road gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

You got the touch
You got the power

You got the touch
You got the power

Get's even worse when Falcon gets hooked on drugs in the D.E.F. saga.

That's Lt. Falcon to you, pal. He came with a shotgun. And I thought he was great.

"Green Berets are specialists in training and leading native insurgents. Native insurgents are usually primitive tribal peoples who respond to two types of leadership: You can bully and overwhelm them with superior firepower and technology… Or you can bite the head off a snake, chug-a-lug the local beverage, and yell, ‘Follow me!’ Falcon is a snake-biter if I ever saw one.”
F*ck what the cartoon did with him.

He was originally suppose to die, but the producers were forced to change it to a coma.

I must have been 10 or 11 when I saw, and even back then I knew the son of a bitch should have died. My favorite part of the movie is when Serpentor says "Cobra lalalalalalalalalalalalala" for about 2 minutes straight.

Would let Tony Parker sleep with his wife
IAWTOP

I remember when I saw blood coming from Duke's chest. All those years I wondered why in all those gun fights no one got shot. Is it out on DVD yet cause I would get it in a heartbeat.

Dan

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Yep, it's been out for a while.
