Great! Maybe I'll go straight to Survivor instead of Hard and then Grounded just to try and see if I can cope with that difficulty, it'll be weird playing without a HUD, is there a way to know how many bullets you got left when HUDless? Don't think so unless you've been counting.
PS Store related question: If I leave my PS4 in standby, I can access the webstore from let's say work and my PS4 will start downloading automatically?
If you press up on the d-pad the menu comes up and you can see how much ammo you have.

Clean slate, but we'll get a small starter bonus for having played the PS3 version.

So happy GROUNDED is unlocked, this is great. I first played LoU with SURVIVOR and it was an amazing experience. Awesome way to rediscover the game!
Piggybacking on this question. What is the chance the game will go up early before the store updates? I feel like they've released games early in the past, but I honestly have no idea.

Grounded is really not that much more difficult than Survivor. It's just slower. The areas where you're battling with AI on your side, you're going to want to let them do as much of the work as possible. You'll also utilize the the bricks and bottles more. But other than that, considering the unlimited shivs still works, it's pretty close to Survivor imo.

They usually release big titles at midnight GCT so they might do it for TLoU PS4.
The Last of Us on PS3 was one of those games that got released early, since US PSN had no preload at the time, so I'm guessing the chances are pretty high for this one.
It even had its own downloader/installer.
Well, that completely defeats the purpose of playing on Survivor/Grounded. Using that bug is silly.

But the really hard difficulty settings will appeal more to the vets.
Yeah, I hear ya. I ended up just selling my PS4 for a profit and bought a bunch of old SNES games off Ebay. I'll buy the white PS4 in the Fall.

yeah i'd wait for some upgrades before going survivor if i was playing for the first time. there were moments during my survivor playthrough where i had a couple bullets and a brick, and i'd find a shiv room to my joy only to discover a single fucking arrow inside.
Pretty sure it is, £30 is such a good price. A lot of places have good deals on it, but that is the best I've seen.
I preordered it off there yesterday. Hopefully they deliver it early.

Okay noticed the price drop for the Gold headset and I'm very interested. I'll be buying a PS4 at some point for sure and I'm already gaming on my PC so why not..

Depends who you ask. They are technically the "newest", though the Pulse headset is more expensive and has a better build quality.
I prefer the Pulse to the Gold - but I've seen people who have an opposite opinion.

OT though: The release of this is challenging my decision to hold off on a PS4 purchase.
I'm not too interested in the current games released and I was waiting for a couple of blockbuster releases before I dive and this might be it, even though it's "just" a remaster.

Stores in my country are now taking pre-orders but no word on the steelbook edition, -_-
We get a nice shirt as a pre-order bonus though (along with the standard pre-order bonuses like the supply points etc), so I guess there's that

I love the fact that this product exists.. So many late gen games were really beating up our ps3's and xb360's and bringing the framerate down to an offensively low crawl. It's a no-brainer for the devs and IT WILL BECOME THE DEFINITIVE VERSION! Seriously people will forget that it even was available for ps3.
Would love to see this idea catch some momentum.. I'd love a console where i can play Skyrim and it's not an embarrasing mess... I played it on 360 and it was on the line of being unable to play. Can't imagine how bad it was on ps3, only heard horror stories.
Lastly let me give you this thought.. ELDER SCROLLS REMASTERED - new versions of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.. Maybe toss in some of the dlc stuff. I'm just dreaming.

I live in the Philippines, and Sony Philippines usually does this in partnership with the retailers here, so maybe if you are in an Asian country supported by Sony you might be in luck.
If you live in the US, we love fine actually makes some great ones with the same tone as that shirt. I saw a tweet from one of the ND devs and they were having a 4th of July sale, so those could be worth checking out.

I bought the Gold and returned them for the Pulse. The Gold doesn't have much bass at all and then they stopped working completely. They just wouldn't connect to my PS4.

Just to offer a different opinion, I've had the Golds for about 4 months so far, and am absolutely in love with them. They're just the best I've used. I did not own the Pulses though.
I would add though that I've heard from a friend who owns both that the Golds are indeed lacking a bit in bass as you said as well!
So 4 weeks away and no gameplay footage? Anyone else in a situation where they sold their PS3 copy and feeling kind of huh? I mean we had footage before Tomb Raider was released, and let's face it the game was gorgeous on PS3 so I'm not expecting some true PS4 2nd/3rd year game here, but could ND at least release some evidence to backup 1080p/60fps aside from cut-scenes?

What are you worried about happening? There is little chance (in my mind at least) that ND would let their staff go crazy on twitter if they weren't positive about it. The game is 4 weeks away as you have said, and there is no real need for you to preorder this far out if you don't want to. I'm sure in the coming weeks we will see more and more.
