Do it, it's great. I was only frustrated in a few spots.
As stated above. Normal with listen mode off. I think that is still enjoyable, offers a slight challenge but still gives you the ability to kill every enemy you want to.
Any harder difficulty than that and your tactics would change to one of avoidance rather than conflict unless you really need to.
Basically a wallhack. Lets you know where near by enemies are by "ear".
Like the detective mode in the Batman Arkham games. You see the enemies because Joel is "listening" real hard.

edit: someone recommended never wasting a shiv on a clicker - saving them to unlock doors etc. So you just let yourself die and restart the checkpoint? I don't think there is any way to avoid death if you don't use a shiv (once they've grabbed you)

No, you make sure you take the clickers down other ways: guns, melee weapons, (other things you might not know about that I don't want to spoil) or simply 'RUN!'.
If you're going for a hard difficulty you'll need everything you can find and shivs are necessary.

No confirmation afair. But normally, lists are only shared between cross-save/buy/play titles - so I would assume that this one hasn't a shared list.
Are you really willing to take that risk again?
It is a big risk, imagine not being able to decapitate a dude with a shotgun? Horrifying. I wake up in a cold sweat thinking about it.

Digital? Obviously, how else could you buy the game? Even redeeming a code (let's say from Amazon.com) would require an US account.
But again, you don't need to play on that account. Just play the game with your usual, from whatever region that one might be.
Reason enough to not even buy the damn game :O

Seriously, I don't want to see videos because Im going fresh but one thing I haven't discussed yet or asked about it is the sound, like is there nasty sounds, satisfying sounds for hits, or kills, like in Gears or Wolfenstein the headshots and regular hits sounds awesome to put an example.

Is multiplayer more like Gears or Uncharted? Or something altogether different? I only played the single played the first time round
Gears movement feels a lot tighter than TLOU.
It's an adaptation from the singleplayer to the multiplayer. It's singleplayer mixed with counter-strike.
Never played Gears so I can't comment there, but it's nothing like Uncharted. In UC you can just run around doing your own thing -- that fails horribly in TLOU. You really need to stick with your teammates and move quietly (no running). Crafting plays a big role in the game too.

Haven't tried Gears but compared to Uncharted is way slower and tactical, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. There are teams out there with voicecoms that run an gun, and these will overrun a disorganised opposing team, but in general the game rewards a slow, thoughful approach.
The sound is every bit as brutal as what's shown on the screen. The sound effects are one of the biggest reasons that the game is so intense, you definitely won't be disappointed
I predict I will love this game a lot, still my expectations are in check, well not really this will be insane!!!!

But Joel is like Viggo and the girl is like his son, going scavanging for food and supplies etc, thats the movie that comes to my mind when I see this, not Children of Men.

- Buy US Dollar PSN credit (I just got it emailed from Play Asia)
- Create a US PSN account and set your PS4 as its primary - this makes all your games one long list
- Preorder the Digital Version on the US store for £30
- Play it like normal on your EU profile..
In the future, save yourself the $4 and buy it from Amazon.com.
Mine went to my wallet, but I bought it using psn gift cards so it probably depends on your payment method.
Just go for it. It'll most likely be cheaper too.

Did you play it as Survival+ or just Survival? Its like New Game + if I remember and it you start with your skills intact next play through.
Also did you guys skill up your "aiming" skill. Heard some went as far as not upgrading it to make it a tougher challenge. On my hard playthrough I did keep upgrading my aiming skills just cause I felt it was too much unstable if left alone. Thoughts.
