Theres clearly no more argument to be had here. Sony fanatic claims tomb raider 2013 copies uncharted and other sony fanatics defend him, yet they got no problem with his flawed logic. As i was saying, dense.
Sony Pony is a popular IGN and MisterXmedia forum phrase. Though I've seen users like TimDog use it too, and I'm sure it gets used elsewhere too.
Pretty funny to see it being used here.

It's not exactly the same since there's obviously an upgrade system in TR and there's an open world. But the basic gameplay is much closer to Uncharted than the original TR. The reboot dropped the complex puzzles, challenging platforming and replaced it with simple platforming, puzzles, and a set-piece driven gameplay design. There's also this

Uhh, Tomb Raider did come before Uncharted but I'm sure they're talking about the 2013 reboot. That reboot did play similarly to Uncharted.

Don't particularly care who's right or wrong. Doesn't give you the right to insult people.
If Destiny is somehow poorly received, maybe, but I think most outlets would even prefer to give it to a game like Stick of Truth or Far Cry 4 instead of the same game twice in consecutive years.

Little over the top with the action but i liked that
Although as mich as i love uncharted 2 (which i really do) i think the last of us is better

The person could just be an Uncharted fan and think that the new TR reboot copied off Uncharted. Why does that make that person a sony pony fanatic fanboy? You sound like you just hate Sony and are projecting your own bias on other people.

The new reboot of Tomb Raider was nothing like the original Tomb Raider games, at all...I can easily see it reminding people more of Uncharted than the original Tomb Raider games.
The original Tomb Raider games (I'm specifically talking about the first 2) had no cover mechanic, no big action set pieces, as many animal enemies as humans, more platforming. When the reboot came out, it was compared to Uncharted on many sites.....Heck, Kotaku did a while story about it...and other sites and reviews.

Stop calling everyone who disagrees with you Sony fanatics. The 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider plays more like the Uncharted games rather than the past Tomb Raider games all the way back to the early Playstation days. How the fuck are you going to continue to argue against this? You clearly either:
1) Haven't played the Tomb Raider reboot
2) In general have no idea what you're talking about

They seem to have been working really hard on the remaster. I don't think it will win GOTY again, but it could very well be my favorite game of the year yet again.
Naughty Dog + Working hard is a good recipe for GOTY caliber games. Hope it shows on the final product. Going by the more experienced/knowledgeable users here, 1080p/60fps is a huge enough deal.

I hope not. A game shouldn't even be in the running twice IMHO. No, with the slim pickings this year I think Dragon Age will be the toughest contender.

I substituted ponies with fanatics because yes, ponies was very negative, but fanatics, while it sounds negative, its a neutral, even positive word, just the full word for fans.
Again, i apologise to anyone who was insulted by my burst at the dude who said tomb raider which came out before uncharted, ripped off of it.

Have you played the original TR games?
I came to NeoGAF expecting it to be a pretty educated place that understood video games and had a pretty solid level of etiquette regarding gaming discussion and the like. It was advertised as pretty exclusive and people generally seemed to have an understanding against console wars and dumb arguments.
I was wrong, sort of. Most people are awesome, some are less so. I guess the mods weed them out and eventually they go away. I'm still trying to figure this place out, ha. In defense of the stupid argument though, it is making me laugh. The constant quoting of the Sony Pony stuff is killing me. It sound so ridiculous and I can't stop laughing. This is a great place.
On topic though, I was super excited about getting this for PS4 because it is one of my favorite games of all time at this point, but the closer we get to launch, the less appeal it has. I don't know, there is a massive gaming drought right now for me, having played a lot of the things I wanted to in my Steam backlog, and I want something new. Haven't played TLoU in a while, really want to try the DLC and everything, but I don't know if an HD remaster is worth my $60 anymore, I have other things I can spend that money on.

1) Not a lot of mods are active right now otherwise he would have been banned already.
2) Wait until the Remaster is $30 or cheaper and then purchase it later.
