'The Last of Us: Remastered' coming to PS4, July 2014, [1080p, targeting 60 fps]

I'm always confused as hell with AI complaints in regards to this game. They're quite reactive to player choices and actions. Some of the best I've ever seen.

It might be a bit unfair but unless those who say this specify otherwise I assume they played on normal and went buckwild with listen mode. When I tried that for fun after beating it the first time on hard I was able to kill half the humans before they could really react to me.

It really is a different experience on hard/survivor with it disabled. My god the flanking whenever I tried to hunker down...

Sorry, I forgot people can't have negative opinions about Game of the Generation™

You're acting like an idiot. You compare TLoU to RE6 , which is literally the first time in history someone has ever made that comparison (Because it's a retarded comparison).

You list off random things that makes the game dumb, and your first post was a poor attempt at trolling.

Out off the small sampling of your opinions and the way you talk to other people, I can safely act in never take anything you say seriously as you have no idea what you're talking about.

And you post spoilers without marking them.

I played TLoU through the end. It was an okay game, and frankly I don't see the HUGE praise this game gets. Maaaybe
the university part and winter with the cannibals were good
, but the rest of the game was bland and felt like RE6 to me. Gameplay was dumb stealth sections, weapon upgrades, scissor-alcohol-tape collecthaton, etc and my god the inbreed AI

Why are you here?

There should be more. Sony has been overly protective in showing titles lately.

It is the "Rockstar Effect" as I have decided to call it. They are trying to slow drip deets and vids in hopes of stoking the hype. It seems to work because Sony game threads tend to have a lot of discussion from what I have seen.

And just look at what we have become. We're rabid dogs foaming at the mouths for just a picture. We have nothing to go on and we're going insane.

Other people merely adopted the hype, we were born in it!

This, man! We should have more! Most that have enjoyed the game the first time around know what we're in for, but there are those who haven't played it and are waiting it out. A 10 minute video would be more enough. It'd show off the hot new graphical upgrades, the gameplay and just a general feel of the characters and environments. Something!

it's coming out in two weeks. Show us what we're in for!

BANNED! Ouch

Peace out brother, hope you enjoyed your stay! It's not like you didn't get plenty of warning.

OT: I am just going to wait patiently for footage. Since I have played the game, loved the game, I kinda know what to expect. A better looking, better running, better quality TLOU, and that excites me.

I showed my grandma that post and she said to make an example out of him.

"Sticky that shit and let the whole internet laugh! Make memes and let him become honorary IGN editor!"

I'm on the fence with this one. I want to double dip but having spent extra on the collectors edition I can't seem to justify the remasterd version.

Maybe another perspective will help, Gaf?

You can have my perspective: Don't buy it if you're on the fence.

My perspective....I've never played nor know much about the game mechanics or story. I shouldn't rub that in though : )

If the consensus is true...get it again.

I'm not as disappointed in the lack of media thus far for the game as I am for the two trailers Naughty Dog has released for it, as they both seem to contain significant spoilers and, as someone who has yet to play The Last of Us, I don't want to watch them, but I do at the same time so I can actually see the game!

Next week should be good though, hopefully.

For me, double dipping is about getting my GOTG from last gen in 1080p and 60 fps. Being a console only gamer I don't get that experience too often (if ever).

Also I never experienced the MP in this so I am really interested in trying that out after reading all the stories from others on here.

It's pretty much a guarantee that they'll show it off before launch though right ? With that talk of them having daily builds and constantly changing things it makes sense why they wouldnt have put something out before, but we're getting pretty close now.

I think EatChildren summed it up in The Last of US OT on 6/13/13 as well as I would have liked

If there ever was an example of a current generation game with fantastic art direction, but so goddamn dense and busy with assets and textures that 720p with dick all texture filtering do more harm than good, this would be it. Coupled with the spotty framerate, The Last of Us is begging for a PS4 port.

Game of the Generation, yup, but boy was it rough. Last generation lasted at least 2 years longer than it should have.

It is only a matter of time now. My guess is starting next week we'll see a blowout of new info/screens/video.

Damn, would love to be in your position.

Anyways, I'm not getting it again right now. Game is still fresh in my mind.

Seems kinda weird though that Sony is remastering a recent ND game, rather than going back and doing Uncharted first.

Kinda feel like this remastering is for those people who switched to PS from Xbox.

You are absolutely right! He nailed it there. The framerate is what I am most excited for because most of my favorite games from last gen had poor framerates and/or screen tearing and the like.

This isn't a new game. You already know what you are getting. Having a comparison video 2 weeks before release isn't THAT bad.
I agree. With a Remaster, as long as the comparison stuff is out before release, then I don't see a problem. Two weeks still is more than enough time for people on the fence to decide if they want it.

Or people like me. I had a PS3 and could've played it...but sold it along with my dead X360 to get the PS4. So..thanks Sony for doing this.

Well you're in for a treat and I wouldn't be wrong in saying that a lot of people would love to be in your position.

If only the tech from Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind existed.

I think the release of an 'Uncharted Trilogy: Remastered' is almost a guarantee at this point, it will just take a much longer time. This might be their way of testing the waters as well.
Releasing an Uncharted collection closer to the release of 4 would also be a good marketing tool.

Same position. I'll probably just sell the game and put the money towards the remaster but keep the collectors edition items.
