The Last-Stop-Speak-In-Hyperbole Official Revolution Specs Thread

Chrono said:
uh.. he just said more tonight.

Probably a few more developer comments and processor speed or something.

NO WAY will nintendo reveal their specs now and like this. They said they won't anyway.

Didnt reggie had some interview with Matt. Asking when he would open his Revolution channel, we take care of the content once it opens.. or something like that...

When it's night here(U.S. and timezone depending on where Matt is located), what time is it in Japan? Could it be a press conference?

edit: bah. I mean tonight.

Predictions anyone?

I say he has developer interviews, and he'll confirm that some interesting developers are supporting the system already. Plus of course he might have some little tidbits on specs. Nothing big imo.

awaits Matt's cue for fellow Ntards to savagly masturbate

Actually you are probably right... I don't see that post of Matt's saying anything about specifications.

They didn't lauch their Revolution channel (btw, they said they wouldn't do that until the console has it's offical name... so does this mean Revolution is the offical name?)

well in a worst case scenario it's just some unconfirmed ramblings from a small ass developer since it's not nintendos style to give anything away unless it's a big conference. But I can hope for the best.

I went to bathroom returned and this is already a 2 pages thread

A rough approximation of the final specs (give or take some MHz on the CPU/GPU) are KNOWN to a number of third-parties -- this is a FACT. The RAM could change at the last minute -- the PSP, for example, leapt from 8MB to 16MB to 32MB in the course of a couple months -- but don't get your hopes up.

Well, if some meaningful information is actually released (which is highly doubtful), will the OP update his first post so I don't have to comb through a 20-page thread tomorrow? Thanks in advance.

There's a big rumor going around that it will have a PPU. It's JUST a rumor, though. From what I can tell, no developers have any knowledge of the device including a PPU. I'm checking into it.

Regardless of what everyone else does, I know you'll be there to spin it. I can't wait.

Good lord I have work to do tonight, and I'm picking up animal crossing on my way home.
If anyone is "doomed" it's a me.

Tsk, tsk. Nintendo should've placed some kind of NDA on the specs. They know they're just going to look foolish by showing the Rev's power on paper.

Of course there's an NDA. It's probably being lifted tonight, though.

Seriously, I'd rather screens of Revolution GAMES than this stuff. What was all the crap aout Nintendo saying that the specs don't matter? And now they're caving in?

Heck, I'd rather have screens/news on Zelda.

The only thing that's going to come out of this is massive trolling until E3.

Which, with GAF, that's normal anyway.

I just read that as well. Very interesting. Even more so was in the next few posts he claimed to have more specs that will be posted tonight. Maybe the PPU rumor is true? HMMMMMMMM

I don't think he's going to have actual specs, but something more like his article last night with maybe a little new info. If he actually has a list of specific...specs, I'll be very surprised.

Err.... did Matt *start* a thread called "Rev Specs", or is he just posting in an existing thread where people were speculating on Rev specs?

Because his post doesn't promise Revolution specs, it just says he'll have more info tonight, which could be anything (not neccessarily specs).

Kind of an important distinction; you guys could be getting excited over nothing.

Why would Nintendo lift it? I'm not denying they did (or "will" tonight), but it just seems to be a ridiculous thing to do, strategically speaking.

Meh, I think this'll just end up being a disappointment since 1) Nintendo probably wouldn't release their specs at this bizarre point in time, and 2) even when they do release specs, they're always conservative about it; unlike Sony, the things that Nintendo stresses that their systems are capable of doesn't assume that the system is performing with a bare minimum number of tasks.

Like a few others have said, I think Matt's comments are being misinterpreted.
