Probably the best choice for a subtitle if it had to have one.
I'm looking forward to seeing what people think of the game, especially those who haven't had the opportunity to play through Zero/Ao first.
While if you need to play the others is covered in the FAQ, am hoping if I can find out a related question. Does playing this spoil significant plot elements from SC and 3rd? Or is it only vague connections?
So who are you favorite characters main characters in this game?

I completed Sen no kiseki I/II with no experience on Tits series.
I love the setting, the story and especially the combat. The reference from previous titles don't bother me much and certainly do not hinder my understanding or enjoyment of this game. Although I do wish to understand the whole picture more, will go back to play FC/SC and others asap.
Emma is probably the most interesting character in the playable cast, although the reason for that doesn't really shine through very much to start with. Sadly your first impression of her is dumb glasses girl trope.
Don't you mean, "Glasses girl is obviously the class president" trope?
I can already tell this guy is going to be an asshole with empathetic undertones not fully explored until later.
Edit: Oh, it's right there in his description
Can I stake a claim and say Jusis is best boy? Jusis best boy. Followed by Crow, of course.
Him and Gaius look like the coolest dudes of the bunch. Emma and Laura for the ladies.
What the max party size btw?
Are there any notable traps to be aware of if doing Hard the first time through? Like bosses and dungeons you can get stuck against if unaware?
Please tell me this isn't true. My first thought when seeing her character design was "I hope she isn't the class president archetype that her design screams."
Hmmmm....
All I'll say is that one of the themes in Cold Steel is about perception of people, stemming from a social divide of nobility and commoners.
I'm going into this thinking positive that but also that they're intentionally "rorschach characters" to put dullards that box any and all anime characters into one-word descripticions.
These games are really long, right?
Well, that's another thing. People who know nothing about Trails in the Sky FC/SC who get first impressions of Estelle and Joshua from character art/short blurbs would think Estelle is a generic airhead tomboy and Joshua was a brooding too-cool-4-u 'nothing personnel kid' character. It's the way the game is written and the fact that Trails are character-driven stories that elevates them far, FAR beyond first impressions. I'd assume they do the same here.
