Remember guys, it's a marathon, not a sprint....

Tired Training GIF
Yes, but if you don't train for a marathon you will fail. It seems Bungie didn't train to make this game successful…

How is Marathon charting at PSN?
Marathon release still isn't reflected in the PSN ranking, because it doesn't update in real time, it has has some delay.

The only thing in real time we have now for Marathon for PSN is the user reviews 4.77/5 stars out of 3016 reviews. But well, like in Steam several days are needed to take any conclusion about reviews because players take their time to review a game, particularly a GaaS.

I refuse to believe slay the spire is that good.
The first one is -plus Balatro- the most popular card game, to the point that in the gamedev incubator where I mentor there are a couple indie teams making card games influenced by these two (and other ones).

I still have hope for 100K CCU this weekend tow in the prediction. Marathon fan, please join this weekend.
On my side, I'll play playing Slay the Spire 2.

Looks like my prediction is going to be accurate, chose around 100k with big drop.
I based this on placing the numbers below the 150k open beta, and actually I'd have said below 100k but closer to 100k than 50k peak with more than 20% decrease. In the poll, I would have said more than 70% decrease if it was an option.

Why? I don't see the game appealing to almost anyone, the only reason it didn't start with Concord numbers is due to Bungie's multi decade reputation and existing hardcore fanbase. If it was a new studio, call it 'Firewalk studios' as a random name, essentially no one would give it a shot. Due to it's said unappealing nature I think retention will be very low. I did give the game a try in the open beta, so I'm not surprised at all about the result so far.
