Am looking foward to their L.A. homecoming, but will still probably check them out in SD on 4/22.

Those in Europe be sure to show up early to see my friend Nobody open for them -- he said Prefuse 73 might be on board too, can't confirm that though.

Got three tickets for the Friday in New York, should be good times. Been waiting to see them for quite some time, wonder what the new songs are going to be like live. My last three bigger shows were Wilco, Pixies, and Gwar, pretty tough acts to follow.

sonic youth is playing soon by the way ;)
along w/ of montreal, the fiery furnaces, mono (japanese post-rockers), amon tobin, q and not u, junior boys, prefuse 73, deerhoof and the album leaf over the next few months.
and thats just in the same club!

Heh, I just saw those Sonic Youth dates, going to try to work something out there. I wish they were coing a bit earlier during my spring break but oh well. Q and not U would be fun too.

who = one of half of At The Drive-In after they broke up.

they're like, experimentalish rock. can't really describe it....wierdish rock. heavy guitar effects, a lot of solos....like i said, hard to describe.
maynard says they're far and away his favorite modern band, heh. so take that for what it's worth.

download Roulette Dares, Take The Veil and Televators. if you don't like those, then forget it.



I wouldn't go to a free Mars Volta concert, either. I value my ears and my time.

I was just voicing support for White Man's and Star Power's flawless opinion on the band. No need to get testy.

But when your taste in music matures, perhaps forced experimentalism and poor songwriting will stop impressing you.

You guys do know they will be going with SOAD on a major tour this summer right? It was annouced yesterday on SOAD's website. I would just wait for that.

Oh, sweet rooter, perhaps one of the newer Mercury Rev albums is sleep inducing, but Boces is anything but. It's one of the most beautifully chaotic albums I have ever heard, and it's wonderful.
