April 6-9, 2017. Par 3 contest on Wednesday April 5th.

Nothing fancy here!

ESPN/CBS. Masters.com has a variety of streams (featured groups, Amen Corner, Holes 15 and 16), but doesn't look like they're doing a tv broadcast stream this year.

Dustin Johnson looking to continue his dominate run, Jordan Spieth looking for redemption, Rory McIlroy looking for the career grand slam.. etc etc!

It's the first golf major of the year! Get excited!

The Masters (as well as the [British] Open) are my favorite golf events, every since I got a hd tv years ago. I know lots of people want to move on, but I wish Tiger was playing this year.

Hard to argue against those two majors being favourites.

As for Tiger, even during his dominate run I was rooting against him, always hoping to see some underdog win. Still remember wanting Chris Dimarco to win that 2005 Masters, when Tiger pulled off that damn magical putt. That said, yes it would be nice if he could play again and compete, he does bring lots of attention to golf!

The Masters is, no joke, my favorite sporting event.

Someday I'll bite the bullet and buy tickets since it's a bucket list thing. I'd like to go with my dad.

Still can't believe ESPN won't start televised Thursday/Friday coverage until 3:00.

Yeah, my favourite major is The Masters, but it doesn't feel as special to me without Tiger there. Should be good nevertheless, last year certainly was!

Was hoping to see some par 3 contest highlights. I see the news that it was cancelled for the first time ever due to weather.

So pumped.

Here are my picks for my Masters pool (each golfer costs a certain amount of points, you only get 25 points to allocate):

1. Spieth
2. Fowler
3. Rahm
4. Mickelson
5. Kisner
6. Els (I had .5 points to spend and he cost .4, lol)

One of my favourite sporting events. Something about staying up beyond midnight in the UK, in springtime, listening to Peter Alliss ramble on about golf, and golfers, just ticks all my buttons. Meanwhile Augusta itself just seems like a perfect natural beauty spot. Really looking forward to watching this year's event with my Dad, as I happen to be going home for the weekend.

A little more info on DJ's back injury:

"At roughly 3:00 pm today, Dustin took a serious fall on a staircase in his Augusta rental home," the statement read. "He landed very hard on his lower back and is now resting, although quite uncomfortably. He has been advised to remain immobile and begin a regimen of anti-inflammatory medication and icing, with the hope of being able to play tomorrow."

Golf World's Tim Rosaforte reports Johnson was on a short staircase going into the basement when his feet went out from under him. Johnson's fiancée Paulina Gretzky said the fall "sounded like a huge thud." When Johnson's trainer Joey Diovisalvi walked into the house, Johnson's first words were, "Dude, I can't believe I did that."

Johnson is currently experiencing pain on the lower left side of his back below the rib cage, commonly referred to as the quadratus lumborum -- or QL -- muscle.

Johnson's team is going to assess the situation overnight, and plans to visit the PGA Tour medical trailer -- and possibly get an MRI and X-ray -- in the morning.

Can't believe it's been 20 years since Tiger's first win. Incredible game-changer. Kind of sucks that the course will be playing soft. Also sucks that Arnie won't be there this year. Wonder if they'll have Watson as an honorary starter now.

Spring isn't spring until you get a "Ken on the Course" at The Masters.

I want to see this occasionally but don't want to pay the monthly fee for all sports channels that my operator provides.
What are the options? Is there any kind of daily plan pay per view? It's always the same each time I want to watch tennis or golf.

Masters.com has good online coverage for either feature groups or certain holes. If there isn't a group I'm interested in I just keep it on the channel that covers shots down the hill into 11 green, number 12 and number 13 since it's such a swingy part of the course.

Coverage is an utter joke. Can't even watch Jordan and Jason today.

Seems like a regression from last year.

I'm happy for now with the featured groups since it includes Adam Hadwin, and i'll check out the Amen Corner stream.

Still don't see an update on Dustin Johnson.

Guessing DJ is a game time decision. Luckily he's the final tee time of the day.

I got to go to the 2015 Masters, and spent approximately 3 hours drinking beer and sitting at Amen Corner, seeing most of the field go by. Was absolutely fantastic, every legend/amazing thing you hear or read about the upkeep and condition of Augusta is absolutely true.

Are they on radio right now? I can't find the station?

I see on Masters.com that Radio coverage starts at 2pm.

Also some updated info, looks like there is going to be a TV Simulcast stream.

I love watching people staring down their shot on 12 like it's stiff then it's 20 feet short in the creek or flies back into the azaleas lol

The livestream on the official site is fantastic. I definitely /don't/ have Amen Corner running in the background when I'm at work today. Only downside is no soothing commentary.

Someday I'll bite the bullet and buy tickets since it's a bucket list thing. I'd like to go with my dad.

Good luck getting tickets, it's not easy. I've been registered for their random drawings to buy tickets for years, and all they've ever offered me are Par 3 contest tickets.

Johnson withdrew? Shit, not a big fan but it's a shame to lose competition at the Masters. Also a shame for him to go out like that.

Fucking love the Masters though. Can't wait to get excited for Matsuyama only to have him suck at putting like usual though.

Hoffmann looking good. Hopefully doesn't lead on day one mind as I'd normally back him as first round leader as well as for the tournament but didn't bother this year

Lots of interesting names on a clogged leaderboard. Great groupings today, will be a great Saturday of golf!

I decided to watch this at my parents' because they got a 4K tv and a 4K receiver but to my displeasure they are only showing guys that are currently not in contention. Either way it's glorious but I'd like to see the leaders every now and then :P

Such a beautiful golf course.
It's not playing too hard. Sometimes Augusta is US Open hard and almost unfair, but there's a good group under par.

I'd love a two-way fight between Rose and Garcia, would be happy with either winning.

I think Fowler might be there tomorrow though, a lot of clutch putting today.

Lot of good golf today and that's a world class leaderboard. Tomorrow should be a lot of fun. Pulling for either Rickie or Jordan.
