There was a preview of this on the revolutioons dvd extras and I wasnt impressed. It just seemed like I was watching people camp for Agents and do boring kicks and run around empty buildings.

Will the world be populated by AI or something? Part of what makes the matrix the matrix is that the bulk of the populace doesnt know whats going on.

Yeah for this game to be good, they're needs to be A LOT of players, and a lot of enemies. Not just endless roaming for Agents.

some of those environments are nice, but mmorpg = zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. the matrix universe would make for a kickass fps, if it was done right. and by right, i mean by not following the movies at all.

in any case, the fact remains that the last 2 matrix films killed any chance of this being a viable franchise. i'm shocked that this is still being developed. hooray sega! :/

Sega isn't making this one. This is being developed by Monolith. Sega is just a partner on the networking end.

The gameplay is actually promising. Some of the early stuff was ass, but I think its gotten a lot better. I check out http://www.matrixonline.com from time to time.
