The Midnight Walkers is a new take on the PvPvE extraction shooter genre made popular by titles like Escape From Tarkov, and most recently, ARC Raiders. The game provides its own spin on the genre by swapping out human-like NPC enemies with the walking dead, constantly shambling towards you as you try to get your hands on important goods that you can either sell off for better gear or use to craft better gear.
Like any Early Access multiplayer shooter, however, The Midnight Walkers has its fair share of issues. It is visually unimpressive, and has also seemingly garnered a highly competitive player base that isn't really interested in the "live and let live" style of play. Rather, you're encouraged to either outright avoid other players in the wild, or make sure that you're ready to fight them off, since there will be no other option.
