Finally Confirmed, Birdman Not Canceled!
DIRECT FROM THE ADULT SWIM BOARD - Hope.
Posted By SwimBuddah; Adult Swim Board Admin
It's not cancelled. Who have they got working over at tv tome? (Editor's Note: Me! How are ya? Try responding to our emails, or submit something to avoid this in the future.) The bump last week was a total joke directed at Erik Richter, co-creator of the series. It was anger over the fact that he had promised to write the bumps surrounding last week's show and then went on a long lunch that made it impossible. They've already started work on the next 13. Thirteen more for you to hate!
Now personally, I'll take whatever the admins at AdultSwim.com have to say over any other board or news story anyday. They're actually there, in the office. They can throw a rock and hit a show creator. But, our news didn't come from them, it came from Turner. Let me repeat that one... because it bares repeating. Our news about Harvey Birdman being canceled came from Turner Head Offices. Not AdultSwim.com or Williams Street.
Now with that said, I'm fixing the guide. I've put the show back up as "Returning Series." As I said already, I'll take their word over Turner's anyday. I just wish they'd respond more frequently. And to SwimBuddah, thank you for clearing it up, and keep up the work you do.
Nah, but since the voice of Brak is an Adult Swim producer who does other bit roles on the shows, it's easy enough for them to keep sticking new Brak material into commercials.Sai said:Brak's already back... Made a small deal about it too. I was never a fan of Brak, so I don't know if they've been making new episodes or not.
Only a few more months till S1 on DVD! Yay!Sai said:... Home Movies...![]()
Andy actually quit WS around when Brak got cancelled. Not sure what he's doing, although he used to jump between WS and Boomerang before so it wouldn't surprise me if he still worked at CN in some capacity. Now that I think of it I seem to remember hearing about him in connection with that awful Friday night live-action cartoon show "thing" they do.JoshuaJSlone said:Nah, but since the voice of Brak is an Adult Swim producer who does other bit roles on the shows, it's easy enough for them to keep sticking new Brak material into commercials.
Haven't seen too much of the fourth season, but I thought the third was their best yet.The Experiment said:Adult Swim new episodes are damn near unwatchable now. I can't believe they've been falling off so hard.
ATHF 4th Season: First really bad season. I still enjoy the 1st and 2nd seasons. 3rd one was ok. Need to get these on DVD.
Eh, it's not great, but I do derive some enjoyment out of it. When you take such a shotgun-blast approach to making a comedy show, there's bound to be a few nuggets in there.Robot Chicken: Not even close to enjoyable. Why does everything Seth Green touch suck complete ass? The only exception was Family Guy and that show is pretty overrated but somewhat enjoyable.
Man, I am totally with you on this one. It's such a damn shame. The whole thing reminds me of Newsradio and Phil Hartman.Sealab 2021 3rd Season: Its been shit around the time Harry Goz died. The episodes were starting to slip towards the end when he was still alive. Barely watchable today. I still enjoy the first season. I should really get around to snagging the DVD.
This show rocks, or at least it did until Adult Swim showed the same damn four episodes over and over again until I wanted to gouge my eyes out.Tom Goes to the Mayor: Two flush corn log.
Brock Samson is the one thing that keeps me interested in Venture Bros. It's an odd fit in the AS humor lineup, because it's not so much funny as it is cool.Venture Bros.: Looks like I'm one of the few people here that consider it watchable. Maybe because Brock's voice was Putty from Seinfeld.

I'm just waitin for the premiere of Perferct Hair Forever so they can have a block with Anime and a show mocking anime in the same hour.
And I heard their increasing the AS block by an hour. Haterz "AM CRY!"?
BTW. Seth Green IS NOT Seth McFarlane!
xsarien said:S1 of Home Movies? That's been on DVD for awhile now. S2 is supposed to come out around May.
And add another vote for Venture Brothers. It's the brain child of one of the writers from The Tick, and in some episodes, it REALLY shows. Some of the early episodes aren't too hot, but there are some that are downright hysterical. The show really hit its stride in the later half of the season, and I hope that the next one keeps that going.
Which is a complete and utter waste of Seth Green, IMO. Chris is the least funny character on the show.Teknopathetic said:"BTW. Seth Green IS NOT Seth McFarlane!"
Seth Green's the voice of Chris.

Shaheed79 said:And the creator of Robot Chicken. Someone above implied Seth Green might of been the person responsible for Family Guy and American Dad.
xsarien said:Not really. But it did strike me as odd that so many people were talking about VB as if it were new. I defend that by knowing that it premiered in Canada last night.
So, why the hell was this thread bumped?

It was said that everything Seth Green touches turns to shit, implying only that he was in some was involved in Family Guy.
Yeah, I hear what you're saying. It's a nice diversion, at the very least. The Experiment said:I don't think its funny but definitely worth watching. I think its a great counter to AS's typically bizarre humor that, I as I pointed out, is quickly getting stale. Adult Swim needs more of these types of shows until it either gets some more funny programming back. I try to watch it whenever I can.
Willco said:How can anyone dislike Venture Bros. Brock does make that show, though.
Archaix said:...might have.
"Might of", "should of", and "could of" are truly among the stupidest things you can possibly type.
Anyway, no they didn't. It was said that everything Seth Green touches turns to shit, implying only that he was in some was involved in Family Guy.
Ford Prefect said:BTW, Home Movies is the best show on Adult Swim. ATHF and Sealab have been crap since AS went mainstream.
Brak himself isn't very funny, although both Dad and Thunderclies can provide some hilarity from time to time. Altogether, it's not great, but still watchable for me.olimario said:I don't think I've ever seen anything as unfunny as the Brak Show. Brak was funny as an occasional character on SGC2C and he did well on Cartoon Planet (I think that was the name of the show), but his show is terrible.
I completely agree.tedtropy said:How did it go mainstream? It's still basically stuck in the same timeslot, it's still not pulling in the rankings of the kiddy crap, and they still obviously don't have the biggest budget in the world.
I like the newer episodes of ATHF. I thought the first season was fairly unamusing in spots, but the show really found its legs towards the end of it and has proceeded to produce some very hillarious episodes. T-Shirt of the Dead? Hypno-Germ?
