Good lungs, great voice, naturally talented singer but can't string a sentence together to save herself and isn't physically attractive.

As opposed to 2nd place. Physically near-perfect, over-groomed, stylish, well-spoken and with a good figure.

Only he was miniature in stature and so engrossed with his image he was like a plastic doll.

This year was shit, there were other contenders passed over who could sing just as good, but looked a lot better and knew how to handle themselves in public; bring on next year, hopefully it's decent.

Seriously tho, in terms of pure talent, the little guy was a one trick pony. Impressive first time around... but without any range in his singing.

The better singer won. I'm happy about that.

But they're both crappy candidates.

I can't believe people actually support this crap. More pollution for the airwaves. Even SBS is being gradually screwed over to fit this brainless viewer demographic.

pop idol 2(3?) - fat girl wins.

Basically a sympathy vote. Didn't hurt for UK fat girl (michelle) that one of the judges said she'd never be an idol cause she was fat. +1m votes!

She's only 16? Not too bad.
Anyway the 'Talent' Searches aren't going to end, SBS has that Karoake thing and Channel 10 has the 'X-Factor' as well as Triple J's Unearthed whose discoveries seems as short lived as Australian Idol's.

At least unearthed winners play their own stuff.

And u may want to retract that given that the first unearthed winners are pretty big and still going. (Grinspoon btw) Also killing hiedi and missy higgins are unearthed winners.

So not so bad.


And Spence and Will are leaving Friday. FUCK. Never thought a guy with a Masters in Pure Math and a comedian would work but it did. Sad to see them go.

Your 'misinformed', look at Ricki Lee's (name rolls off your lips innit?) I would say she is still better looking than Amali and probaby more talented as well (cmon someone back me up) :)

I noticed in the paper today that she is in some fat camp and has lost 60lbs so far or something stupid like that, so her management obviously hasnt given up on her quite yet. I think her weightloss is gonna be doucmented in some TV show.

Not that i care, just thought id share that.
