It would be funny, but I don't believe this...

Nintendo I think has to be releshing in the underdog role. I don't see them as really having a large amount of pressure on them, because most people expect it is only going to be a 2 system war with the Battleship known as XBOX 360 and the soon to be fleet carrier PS3. If Nintendo gets some good quality games (in addition to the Mario's, Zelda's, and Metroid's) they have a real chance to sneak back up on everybody. Especially if this controller is as groundbreaking as they are trying to lead us to believe. But if any company can do it, would have to be Nintendo...

Well because he said so of course. He is the all knowing Nintendo lover and hater of all other consoles. All bow before him.

It's evident that media is focusing more and more on MS vs Sony while Nintendo are drifting away.

At least in the text you quoted, it's justified to leave out Nintendo. They have no intention of competing to own the "digital living room". (However, I'm not one to believe Nintendo's claims that they aren't competing at all with Sony and MS. They just don't want to take over the living room like the other companies do.)

but that's what they said of Nintendo:

'Nintendo, meanwhile, seems to be sidestepping this war by focusing on its core audience of kids and nostalgic adults'

with digital living rooms, this article refers to games also.
