Am I the only one here that is disappointed in Nintendo's conference but..... will somehow get over it?

I watched the stream and , yes, they showed jack shit about the revolution. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Sure, for us here on the forums its a big let down. The Nintendo fans have nothing to defend their choice of console with yet. We all wanted to see it. And YES, they are now behind the eight ball when it comes to hype.

But they will show it. So, before we judge Nintendo's future, lets at least wait to see what it is the fuck that they have up their sleeves.

And trust me, if its only fucking gyro controllers or some stupid shit like that, I'll be the first to make a "Nintendo am doomed" thread.

Edit: I must say though, I literally laughed out loud with George Harrison was like, " And we've got 4 Mario titles coming out this year! " Yay?

Your not the only one. There was few people that didnt blow their O-ring. The conferance obviously sucked but to make a judgement on Rev based on that is just dumb.

Nintendo have revealed more about Revolution than they had about GameCube at a similar stage in their respective development. GameCube was tabled for a mid-2001 release in Japan when they unveiled it at Spaceworld in August 2000 (release was subsequently put back to September). So Nintendo's statement was intended 10 months prior to launch.

With Mosys saying last week they expected Revolution to go on sale in mid-2006 that gives an almost identical timeframe to GameCube. The public only knew about hardware partners at E3 2000 now they know about a couple of launch projects: Smash Bros and a Miyamoto project.

Yes, a big disappointment but get things in perspective. It wasn't as bad as E3 2003 where Pacman VS was the focus of their line-up, this time it was Zelda.

Yes, we definitely need to CALM THE FUCK DOWN.

I think the level of how much was shown for each system was proportionate to the estimated release dates:

Xbox360 (release late2005)- system, controller, Gameplay footage, some cutscenes, game announcements
PS3-cutscenes (release early 2006) - system, early controller, cutscenes, game announcements
Revolution (release late2006) - system, 2 game announcements

The only problem with ALL of the conferences was the lack of innovation in the games for new systems (when any were shown at all). I saw only sequels. I want to see fresh new game ideas when these systems launch.

They all had problems- Sony with the ugly controller & no new PSP announcements, MS with their dumbass show & mediocre games, and Nintendo with their Mario whoring & lack of game videos. Some were worse than others.

On the whole I wasn't too disappointed, then again I didn't have crazy expectations like everyone else.

Oddly enough, the Nintendo coference still did come across as bad as the XBox 360 conference did.
