Raw:
Lillian Garcia sang national anthem
Batista interview. JR was very popular for some strange reason to me- I generally dont cheer for announcers who took place in one of the most pointless/embarrassing main events in MSG history.
I apologize if the order is wrong but there were several sketches throughout the night. Viscera-Trish date (Mark Henry-Chyna ala 1998) but also Christian and Evolution- very entertaining. Big Vis deserves big respect- very entertaining to watch in segments. Can we say Sexual Chocolate 2005?
People turned on the HBK/Hogan segments once they realized it was pre-taped.
Edge-very disliked for the obvious reasons.very interesting to see how it comes across on TV, but there were a lot of pro Matt Hardy chants-Lita should be thankful she wasnt used- she would have gotten it worse!! I aas proud that we in the crowd in the UK could pay respects to Matt Hardy.
Chris Masters beat up crowd member (Andre Baker). Two Andre Bakers in the world-with one working for OVW. Hmmmm. Masters sucks in my eyes. Good physique but so does Mark Jindrak. Need I say more?
Regal was very popular, with Muhammed Hassan supplying fantastic heel heat. I was surprised there was no run in from HBK. Oh i forgot he was in the back with Hogan and Mean Gene- funny how the place looked like MSG in background, not the NEC Arena in Birmingham, England!
I refuse to mention Diva party. Im a red blooded male, so it was entertaining but to think all these divas are used and Victoria is not out there - theres something wrong about that, especially considering she can wrestle (WWE- World WRESTLING Entertainment anyone?)
Im not sure again how Batista-Christian came across on TV with the Coach as referee, but from where I was (3rd row) it was very even in popularity with the younger children more for Batista, while a large hardcore group (as in several thousand) were pro-Christian big time. There were many signs for him everywhere. Can we smell a big push?
Im not sure where theyll stop the taping. I assume with Triple H celebrating the beatdown on Batista, but afterwards Batista beat the holy doodle doo out of them and posed for the crowd for a while to close the event.
Personally, the show was average to me. No Sntitsky. Wow I must be dreaming. The show probably comes across on TV better, as it invariably does. Ringside always helps for entertainment, but with Benjamin, Kane and Benoit only making run ins, and HBK not even appearing, not acceptable in my opinion. Good sold out crowd though, which were generally loud and lively through out. Lets hope its better on TV than live and that tomorrows Smackdown taping is better.
