It worked for me, all video all sound. Didn't look very interesting, probably because they showed levels I know. Damn, the lighting being missing is just so noticeable. Only if the PS2 didn't take such a big hit on polygon count when lights are implemented.

No chance, we wouldn't see the cuts in lighting and polygon count if they were able to achieve that framerate.

I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is good or bad, right or wrong. But I could care less about RE5, what I would love though, RE4 rebuilt from the ground up on the next gen consoles. Give me RE5 after.

I would buy that shit full price, with PS2 content aswell. Fears of a artisticly flaccid RE5 just continue to exsist. :lol

The PlayStation 2 version of Resident Evil 4 has received some of the highest reviews ever prior to its release on the 4th of November...

Obviously we think it’s the best game of the year and it looks like the magazines agree. Check out the scores that Resident Evil 4 has been getting in the specialist press:

In the UK Official PlayStation 2 Magazine, the issue with the cool cover picture of the chainsaw wielding villager, gave the game 10/10 and stated that the game is “unmissable”

Staying in the UK, PSM2 gave the game a 97% score and said that RE4 is “flawless” and that you should “buy the game now”, whilst PSW Magazine gave it 9/10 and GamesMaster gave it 98%

In Germany, Official PlayStation 2 Magazine gave the game a score of 95%, making it their best game of the year...

France saw Official PlayStation 2 Magazine give the game 18/20; Spain saw its biggest magazine Hobbyconsolas give a maximum 10/10; and in Italy the Official PlayStation 2 Magazine gave it 9/10

You can see why Resident Evil 4 is absolutely not to be missed. If you didn’t catch this game on the Gamecube there is no excuse to miss out this time. And if you did buy the NGC version then you still need to buy the PlayStation 2 version as it comes with loads of extras including five new missions for Ada in the bonus game Separate Ways.

So come November 4th get down to shops and grab yourself a copy of video game history...
