Nice little cover performed by a fellow South African. Lekker, Dave!

The bassist threw me off with his rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner and the electric violin did not have the the range of Hendrix's guitar but the acoustic guitar segment sounded like Zeppelin. It was weird at times to see every musician going so hard that it killed the melody. Interesting interpretation overall though.

Maybe my favorite live vocal performance ever.
A lesser artist likely would've felt the need to up the tempo, even if only a little.

Another old South African band.

Never saw the footage of this gig, it's really well shot. I remember getting a bootleg copy of it at the time. Out of so many hit and miss recordings, this was an absolute gem.

Can't believe I never heard of this band until recently, some crazy-addictive heavy riffs. Here's four tracks lifted from the only really good sounding versions, the original 1994 German vinyl pressing/s:

I recommend listening loud on the best system you can.

Also, that intro to Whitewater and then the driving riff... *chefs kiss*

Hearing the news of MTV shutting down their music stations has sent me into a nostalgia trip thinking of videos that used to be on rotation in the early/mid 90's
