So what is the premise of this pony show?
I recently saw the show as well. I know why it has the polarizing reaction and the whole thing is amusing. People don't watch the show because the premise is designed around little girls.
However the show itself is quality for a children's show in the same vein as the Powerpuff Girls and whatnot. Some fans saying it's the second coming of Christ in the form of cartoons are off their rockers.

Umm wow...I go for work today, and this thread goes down to shit. Ranging from ponylove, to some furries trying to justify their fetish, and only a few decent responses in this thread related to the subject. Mama Robotnik and Ikael...I thank you for giving me such great responses from the two sides of the spectrums, but I've decided that on GAF there is simply no reason amongst these two sides to warrant an entire topic about it. Both sides are pretty fucking terrible and lack any sense of reason whatsoever.
I wonder what this thread would be like if "faggot" and "gay" weren't banned insults on GAF.

I've seen my fair share of clips, and FiM seems to be a very, very good show - by the standards of cartoons created to sell toys to little girls. But it is still a cartoon created primarily to sell toys to little girls, and it's very much written on that level. I just can't see the all-ages appeal that other cartoons beloved by adult male Internet nerds have, including Flapjack, Adventure Time, and (for that matter) Powerpuff Girls.
