Can't we just split this into 4 groups?
Group 1) People that like MLP because it's a cartoon show about ponies. They favour fantasy themed things over real life, would call themselves a furry and generally like that kind of stuff.
They're easily offended when questioned about their liking of the show and their personalities in general, and take a somewhat aggressive and presumptuous stance on group 4.
They typically like Anthropomorphism, Anime in general, cute cuddly and feminine things.
Group 2) People that watch MLP because they favour it's animation quality/humour over the fact it includes ponies.
They like a good TV show, are favourable to kids shows due to their light hearted and humorous nature, and can accept both sides of the argument here.
Group 3) People that don't like MLP for one reason or another, albeit can understand why people watch the show.
They have no particular interest in MLP, but don't mind people watching/enjoying it for whatever reason.
They do get a little annoyed when it's constantly mentioned by the more obsessive fans, but otherwise keep quiet about it
Group4) People that cannot fathom in any way shape or form why people watch a animated TV show aimed at children.
They don't understand or acknowledge the reasons for watching the show, nor are they open to argument. They take a slightly homophobic stance to the discussion,
claiming that the only reason middle-aged male fans watch the show is because they have a twisted and incomprehensible sexual attraction to the characters.
People in this group have already founded their opinions and will not be swayed, especially not by group 1.
Often found to be saying "MLP is for girls".
Oh, and group 5, my group:
Group 5) Idonnevenkare.
