The Red Star released?

So today I'm at my local game shop with a friend on my lunch break and I notice something playing on one of the big screens in the back gaming lounge. I went in for a closer look and within the Xbox I was watching some kid play The Red Star. I watched the intro and everything. looked nice.

So I went to the shop owner and I asked if it was released he said it was a import from the UK, has it been released there? I seen the kid playing with a character "Kyuzo" It looked pretty cool. Reminded me of Neo Contra on some parts.

Can anyone confirm that it's been released I wouldn't mind importing it if there's no place of it having a state side release.

The NFO sites do not show that the game has been released into the warez scene. I thought that there was a demo out? It could've been that.

Nevermind, yeah. It's on torrent sites already.

No that I think about it, NFO sites don't list releases of beta games (or demos)....

Tsc tsc. Perhaps if someone would publish this game sooner, this wouldn't happen

And obviously this game sucks cause Gamespot isn't reporting the leak!

You didn't take my word for it, border? for shame.

There have been unsigned Xbox games listed before on torrent sites.

Either way, the game is pirated. Let Doth or Jason know where this was, and it'll be taken care of.

Pirated? What what? Too bad that they're still looking for a publisher, it being torrented already is probably a swift kick to the nuts for that goal. ;P

GodDAMNit! This game should've been picked up IMMEDIATELY and released!! THE MOTHER FUCKER WAS GODDAMN DONE! WTF is wrong with this stupid industry?

True, that sucks. Have to say that they sure gave the torrent scene plenty of time though.

Errr...there's still an unpirated PS2 version by the looks of it. If pre-release piracy stopped games from being released then nothing would ever get released. Hasn't Xenosaga 2 been out since like December?

See you in two months, asshat.

I dinna think you know what the banning was for. Or that was a terrible attempt at sarcasm. :P

Remember that wee rule about piracy? Oh yeah.

It was VERY terrible!

on that note, is alien hominid coming out for the xbox or not? i've been waiting for that forever already. might as well just order the ps2 version at this point.

Uh, isn't the rule about posting IMPRESSIONS of pirated software, NOT admitting that you pirated something?

Oh well, I don't really mind this particular ban. :p

European version is definately coming with extra crap (new Fat Kid eating game, Best of the US user created PDA games, Xbox Live support, a replay mode to work towards perfect runs, and the option for DLC PDA games)...so give them time and I'm sure a US version will spring up. Though they'd probably just sell it via their online store...not like it lit up the charts on PS2/GC in the US either way.

The reason why posting impressions is bannable is because it's just an example of admitting you pirated.

The version(s) that were distributed to press were in fact quite old and incomplete, so if anything has been leaked it is far from being representative of the real thing.

What a shame. This absolutely hurts the chances of a legitimate release of the game.

But still pretty damn good, from what I gather. Hopefully that newer build will be released one day. As, you know, a game on a disc I can buy in a store for money. And congrats to you guys for out-Treasuring Treasure.

About how much money would it cost to release the game anyway? We could band together and raise up the funds. Of course it can't be just us; there would have to be other forums getting in on the action. IGN, TEAMXbox, Gamespot/Gamefaqs; we can do it if we pool a few bucks together. It shouldn't be that much right? Let's show the world we can do it!

OMG dude..no one gives a rats ass that someone was demo'n a pirated game. Geezus its like we got kiddie police here ready to change the world over warez. Nothing is gonna stop warez, its a waste of time trying to make a diffrence

Can the ESA even do anything about this? They are supposed to be a consortium of software publishers, and the game itself is without a publisher and from a small developer that probably doesn't have an ESA membership. Legal action would probably have to be taken by the developers themselves, and I dunno if they want to call attention to the fact that the game they are trying to sell is all over the internet.

Am I the only one who finds the double standard on this issue between the OT and the Gaming forum to be a tad hypocritical?

Over there, most users openly admit to pirating a variety of albums, and give comments on them, without any real threat of admonition. Whereas here... the actions taken within the thread already are atypical.

Not saying I disagree with it, just finding it a little kooky.
