The South Park videogame

Being a fan of South Park, I always thought the game would've made a good videogame conversion. I figured they could even do it cel-shaded and such, since the show has a unique touch to it.

However, it recently came to my attention that there was indeed a South Park game. It was on N64, and later ported to PlayStation. It was apparently a first person shooter game that looked just like the show, and had voices for the characters and everything. There was even two spinoffs, South Park Rally (akin to Mario Kart) and Chef's Luv Shack (skin to Mario Party).

Screens and movies of the N64 version is here: http://ign64.ign.com/objects/010/010075.html

Sadly, the game didn't seem very good (though it was done by Acclaim)...but there is potential for a good South Park game, like how The Simpsons: Hit & Run was so true to the Simpsons show. I'm surprised there isn't a single South Park game this gen, considering its popularity and all.

The first person shooter was ok, nothing special but funny and a perfect “rent and finish” game.

I love that gun that made the enemies dance :lol

I thought the game was great. I loved it to death. Heck i should try and get it again. It was a good game at least to me. I loved the chiken gun. The story was funny and i enjoyed it all the way through. It was pretty challenging sometimes. And it was just wacky.

The game was made when South Park was shit, unfortunately. I can say it played fairly smoothly for an N64 game.

It had its moments.

I agree with DCX, i want a new thundercats game.
You know what would cool? An online multiplayer GI Joe. Cobra VS GI Joe, planes, tanks, forts, bases i think it would sell by the boat loads!!

DCX

A hybrid of GTA and South Park would be fun...

I had it. For a rush job, it wasn't TOO bad -- looked and felt like South Park, cool weapons, and it was pretty funny too -- but it had crappy stages, legions of dumb enemies, and was basically Turok 2 without any of Turok 2's good points. And I wasn't a real big fan of Turok 2 to begin with.

It is however INFINITELY better than Chef's Love Shack, which holds the dubious distinction of being one of only two games I have ever traded in in my entire life.

An online multiplayer old school transformer game would be great! You could make your own transformer or play as one of the classics on massive battlefields! It would be team based!

This is one military game I could really get into. They'd have to work in the Dreadnoks somehow though.

I remember the singleplayer being horribly boring and uninspired. The multiplayer was quite amusing, especially using the Terrance and Philip dolls as a weapon, I had quite some fun with that with some mates.

chef's love shack was prob. one of the best multiplayer drinking games for the N64.

have a few friends and thier girls over for a nice barbq, drinks, and some game playing that the girls actually got into. sorta like pac man vs works for people who can't deal with all the buttons on the controllers too.

South Park multiplayer kicked all kinds of ass... we played it almost as much as Mario Kart and Goldeneye. I even catch myself saying some of the quotes today. Like when the Vietnam Vet says "ouch, my arm" Cartman says "yah, I like my cheesy poofs", Alien says "moo, moo, moo"

I would love to see another game based on the series.

The guys that make south park said they hated the games so much they won't allow any more to be made.

Maybe if those tards hadn't hadn't given the game license to Acclaim then they wouldn't have had that problem

South Park Rally is the only game, to my knowledge, that allows you to give the Lord Jesus Christ herpies - at the time I remeber being offended, but now it kind of makes me chuckle.

To be fair, can you really make a game where nobody has any chance of dying?

It's not that bad, especially if you're a southpark fan. It's has some pretty funny cutscenes, and if you find it for $3 its fine to play it. Don't expect a masterpiece, and enjoy the cutscenes.

The other two games are total shit and should be burnt to the stake after being pissed on.
