The ultimate DS lineup preview (56k no!)

Children of Mana, Mario Bros, and Final Fantasy 3 look fucking HOT. Also, Mario Basketball has surprisingly good graphics.

Anyone have more information on Disciples II or Wizardry?

And on an unrelated topic, is FF:CC worth $20 if I have the means to play with 3 players using GBA SPs?
Very much so. FF:CC sucks single but you toss in a few friends and it becomes a whole lotta fun.

Awesome! I really wish Sony would get some more games out. My DS is getting all the love while my PSP is crying on the sidelines. Poor PSP.

I can't wait for Animal Crossing and SMB and Mario & Luigi and Mario Kart to say the least. :D

Screens
Japanese mini-preview, lists some touch screen features?
Official site, quite a bit of (Japanese) info but it's rather dense and in flash (so no copy/paste)

RPGamer: Wizardry Asterisk is a remake of the first Wizardry title. (I wouldn't take that as gospel, though...)

Doubt it will ever come out in English.

Thanks, looks sweet. That would suck if it never makes it to NA. :(

Beautiful.

hmmm, there's alot of love coming for my DS!

tks for this thread, it's nice for lazy gamers like that don't have time to go check the previews and all. (well i'm at work after all... lol)

Judging from the FF3 screenshots, it looks like you can specify gender of each character, or you get 2 male 2 female by default. Hot!
This will be the best FF game ever. :)

Can you go in and edit your 1st post and add the release dates next to the games so i can mark what i will be picking up ASAP and what will be later.

Thank you!! :)

The Wario game isn't called Wario Land, and I'm still not sure how much it'll play like those.
That's true, it's called Wario Thief right now by some developer named SUZAK but it looks interesting so far. At least it is a nice change from another Wario Ware.

Whats that first person King's Field-esque japense DS game again?

Any word on the progress/release of that one?

how many people are, or will be playing their DS more than any other system?

I am. Well mostly because I only have a GC and a DC from this generation so it isn't like it's getting a lot of competition^^

Has it been 100% confirmed those Final Fantasy shots are from FF3 and not FF:CC? The character models and the gameplay/camera angles look just like FF:CC too.

Huh? Yeah, 100%

I vote we call it Warioid.

Well lately i've pretty much only playing Fire Emblem 2 and Dawn of Sorrow. I don't have time to game except when taking the bus and metro to go to work.

Pretty solid looking lineup. I'm especially excited for the new 2D Mario. I'm enjoying Princess Peach, but it's very easy and not as fast paced/fun as a real Mario game. I'm also super pumped for Sonic Rush!

Wha? The PSP list kicks loads of ass, I don't know how you could think such a thing.

I probably will. Which is kinda ironic since I am a bit of a nintendo hater. Mario Kart, Sonic Rush, Tony Hawk, and freakin Animal Crossing (GOTY!).

Heh, actually I don't want to troll the PSP, I just found it funny that he was being sarcastic when the DS lineup really is amazing. While I don't have any interest in most of the PSP's games, I don't have a problem with those who do. To each their own.

That's fine, I don't really have much interest in most of the DS lineup either. There are a few games that appeal, but most do nothing for me. It's an excellent lineup, though.

Lots of good games coming, but DS release lists at the moment just make me want to go piss in the soup at NoA HQ. Where the heck is Band Brothers? The game deserves a high-profile US release, asap.

I approve of this thread...very informative, without the troll bait. Thanks for the effort. I agree with Dark10x though, just not for me on the whole. Hopefully that'll be ok for most folks, can't please everybody. Looking better than expected though.

Flip, man. N64, PSX, and GC each had a few gems like No Mercy, Goldeneye, Star Ocean 2, FF9, SSBM, and ToS, but I don't think I've been this excited for gaming overall since the SNES.

I mean, honestly, even if you just take the bolded titles, meaning the ones that I would either be guaranteed or pretty much guaranteed to get if they came out in the US--and stuff like Magical Vacation and Jam With The Band had better come here at some point--and add those to my current DS collection, it would actually be bigger than my SNES library ever was, and without even having to resort to any games I can see dipping below an 8/10 rating on my scale.
