Why the hell has this not been released in the USA? Even freaking Canada gets it.

This would make me buy an Xbox again.

I dont understand why people care so much about different color consoles. It's not like handhelds where you carry it on you. My systems sit in an entertainment center, I could care less what they look like.

While I agree that a solid white Panzer Orta flavored Xbox sounds mighty nice, it's nigh impossible and pricey to get one at this point.

So the crystal variant, as second best, gets automatic top billing.

It is this very hiding away of electronics that needs to be put to an end.

I have even emailed Microsoft about this tragic overlooking of an entire market's demand for this device.

The email exchange is as follows:

Mr. Gates:

Hello.

In Canada and Europe, your company, Microsoft, has released an XBox system in a clear plastic housing, called the 'Crystal XBox'. When, if at all, will this be available in the United States? I sold my stock black Xbox a year or two ago, but if you were to make this very cool looking crystal system available in the USA, I would likely purchase another Xbox.

I bought a Crystal Xbox so I could go on Live (didn't want to take the chance with my modded silver-custom one).

I remember when it came out, I put some money down on it ASAP to hold it until payday. Funny thing is, even weeks after all the retail stores had lots in stock, I laughed about the whole "limited" thing. Just like the "limited" Halo 2 CE.

Are they really going for $400 USD on Ebay? *shakes head*

Why MS didn't release in the US is beyond me. Canada also had a special Blue edition (Similar to the DOA JPN one) if you signed up with Bell Canada ADSL.

I love my Xbox, but this thing refuses to match my setup. It just looks ugly with it all.
It's still much nicer than the black one IMO, but all the same...

I love the crystal pads tho.
