How come there is no talk about this game? The movie rocked, and it's an awesome concept for a video game. Here is Gamestop.com's description.

Officially licensed from the cult gang movie set in 1979 New Your City. In the sub culture of gang warfare that rages from Cony Island to Manhattan to the Bronx, members of the Warriors fight for their lives, seeking to survive in the urban jungle and learn the meaning of loyalty. This could be awesome. The concept is really cool, and it's being developed by the makers of Grand Theft Auto. Has there been any media released for the game yet? The release date is 9/1/05 on Gamestop, I hope we see more at e3. I really think this has a lot of potential.

I've been waiting for this also, though I'm expecting something similar to Manhunt, unfortunately.

Because they annouced it around the same time as Manhunt and have yet to release anything more than that.
The movie does rock and the concept could be good. I just hope they keep it's 70's glory and not try to update it and add Jay-z or something.

i think its being made by Rockstar's Canadian studio, so no DMA unfortunately.

Yep they were Rockstar Canada, but became Toronto when Rockstar bought Barking Dog, which is now Rockstar Vancouver.

Every developer Take 2 buys is renamed "Rockstar <Location>" It's actually getting a bit ridiculous. Frankly, I'm surprised Visual Concepts wasn't renamed "Rockstar Sports."
