Does that mean I'll get to see Nintendo's E3 conference on Spike and/or MTV2 with no commercial interruption? If so, yay.

Since DirecTV got rid of G4, that was one of the things I missed most.
 
Anyone else find it odd that Nintendo's E3 2011 site is still up? Last year, I'm pretty sure they had replaced their 2010 site with a teaser by three weeks before the conference. Oh well.
 
Thread VI will either improve use of the Gaming Community forum, or it will be a desolate wasteland compared to this one. I suspect the latter. Have Sony or MS paid GAF for this downgrade in Wii-U exposure or something? :p

Maybe if we slow our posting rate we can stay in Gaming! ;)

PS4 and the next Xbox don't, AFAIK, have speculation threads, let alone 5 of them.

Even though DirecTV dropped G4, I was actually rooting for G4 in this instance, because they've been airing the conferences for years, then suddenly Spike started taking them.

I can't say for sure, but I'm fairly confident that his involvement in ReBirth was minimal, other than suggesting that it be made a quasi-remake of the GB title so as to fit into his existing continuity.

Oh nice. So what conferences does G4 even have anymore? I know Microsoft went Spike last year. So now you combine that with Nintendo that leaves Sony and the ones like EA etc don't it? Hopefully those come over too. It always sucks to watch the MS one in HD on Spike only to have to turn over to SD G4 to see the others. Damn Cox doesn't seem to want to carry G4HD. lol

This should already be happening, assume the rumour comes from a reliable source, a know source, and/or has significant weight and generates positive discussion. Megathreads are to be avoided at all costs, including this one, regardless of where they sit on the forum. New threads for new news and new discussion always, no exceptions.

The reasons a lot of rumours get posted here and don't get new threads is because they're shit rumours and/or lacking proper sourcing.
 
Moving to community shouldn't effect the flow of these threads too much. Most people already know about it and newcomers are generally scared by the size.
I do ask that we get two days on the main forum first with a tag that it's getting moved.
Only seems fair.
 
I don't see the big deal with moving to community. As long as you all know where the thread is nothing should change. I don't mind an extra click (I rarely post in the WUST but I read you guys every day).
 
That Spike TV partnership probably means we'll be seeing more Nintendo games at their awards lol. It kind of a big deal though, and would probably indicate that Nintendo has a lot to show the core audience, even though Spike is pretty dudebro.

It's what Nintendo has been saying since the announced the 3DS. Get the core first. The casual can be gotten later.
E3 is gonna be fun.
