Well that's dissapointing... I was looking froward to hearing impressions from the Wii-U verison.
Thinly-veiled.
I like it.
I didn't say that.Aren't you the one that wanted Sony to cancel the PS3 and to go belly up?

…wait, so my post count will go from around 600 to around negative 2400?
Different crazy person.
Ahh, my bad.
Sony's got a better chance of making more interesting game announcements, but I doubt they top God of War 4, Last of Us, and a Smash Brothers clone.
Agreed. There are a few posters in this thread that really don't take well to people criticizing Nintendo. It's unfortunate.
I don't think I've ever said anything as blunt as that. To say something like that means certain death around here. Must be some other "crazy" person. That was HylianTom I believe, and he said the same about Microsoft too.![]()
I think he's talking about the amount of people posting would decrease since they can't be bothered to go to the community side.
Yeah, the community thread for a certain futuristic FPS is pretty insular. I hope this doesn't become that bad.
There is a video of the Giant Bomb crew recording their impressions seconds after the conference ended and straight up saying "the graphics looked in between Xbox and 360, like really early 360 titles." One of them pauses like he's unsure of that, then decides to just go along with it and nod his head anyway.
Find it and download it I want to upload it to YouTube and call them on it..There is a video of the Giant Bomb crew recording their impressions seconds after the conference ended and straight up saying "the graphics looked in between Xbox and 360, like really early 360 titles." I tend to criticize every company equally if I find faults in what they do, but there are those with emotional attachments that forget everyone mistakes and their favorite companies may do things people don't like. It's not a NeoGAF thing, that's just how it rolls in gaming communities.
Possibly, but a decrease of 500% of any positive number is a far greater negative number.
Agree. I think of the two, Sony will fare better. First, they can do one heck of a sizzle reel. Second - and Nintendo & MS need to take note - they realize that E3 is mainly an enthusiasts' affair.I just think that Microsoft and Sony won't have anything as big to announce compared as the things we already know about. What can get people foaming at the mouth in excitement like Halo 4 ? Maybe if Rare actually made something people wanted like Killer Instinct or a new core IP. Sony's got a better chance of making more interesting game announcements (maybe for PS Vita), but I doubt they top God of War 4, Last of Us, and a Smash Brothers clone.
Oh, I agree. People need to cut their emotional attachment to corporations.
If they can't top that disaster they are in trouble.
It's already on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVUPK4xOA4cFind it and download it I want to upload it to YouTube and call them on it..
Hey I'm more fanatical about my FeyenoordI don't think it's really any different than being a fan of sports teams.

(now, I have said I won't buy the others.. )

Why would you want the PS3 to die? It's a cool system![]()
that whole debacle was truly telling of the gaming media/fandom in generalThis was both hilarious and embarrassing. Embarrassing because these people are paid for this shit, in a field I contribute to for free. Worst of all I know people exactly like it who too get paid.
Also, what do you want from Retro, in order of preference:

To be fair, there are a few posters who have posted some pretty out-there "criticism." Like, for example, people demanding the Wii U controller have a screen that's as good as products that likely cost more than the entire Wii U system. That's not very reasonable.
Yup, I just want them to make games as long as possible. That's all.Yes, but let's be honest here: they could really use all the support they can get, agreed?![]()
I disagree. With being a fan of a sports team there is a true goal: win. You're able to celebrate with the team and other fans when your team wins. You also don't have financially invest to be a fan of a team while that isn't the case with being a fan of a particular video game publisher/hardware producer. I don't see the two being parallel at all.
Where did I demand that? I simply stated my desire that they include said quality screen. I also admitted that Nintendo's goals and focus isn't based on my focus. But hey, keep on running with that point =P
1. New action/adventure IP with Western sensibilities.
2. Metroid Prime 4.
3. Donkey Kong Country Returns...Again?
4. Retro Zelda I guess.
5. All staff fired and the building burnt to the ground for even considering a Metroid x Star Fox crossover abortion.
All professional teams are corporations too. But then again, most of anything is a product of a corporation, so to be safe I guess it's best not to be a fan of anything.

Do I have to invest anything to be a fan of a sports team besides time? No. Do I have to invest something to enjoy the product of say Nintendo? Yes.
