The Witcher 3 - Official Xbox One gameplay

Nice job on CDRP for getting the Xbox one version to 1080p! I wonder how the dynamic scaling will work. Didn't another recent game do something similar?

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Official Xbox One Gameplay with dynamic scaling from 900p to 1080p."

It's not native 1080p

Unconfirmed reports that The Witcher 3 on Xbox One looks like Witcher 3... on Xbox One, now confirmed.

Looks good, can't wait for next week

I know the trees disappearing and reappearing are a feature for when the camera is close to them, but that looks a bit too distracting here.

the fact that the sub title has to say 1080p, dynamic scaling is everything wrong with this generation. I can't wait for it to be over

The game looks fine but the map and UI look completely awful. Everything looks the same as the witcher 2 in terms of the menus and interface.

Omg that tiny UI. I love it, it's minimalistic, but damn.

Also, dynamic resolution is better than a constant 900p, I suppose. Worked well for Wolfenstein, right?

The HUD elements, specifically the text and minimap, look incredibly crisp for scaled and youtube compression. Could it possibly be a native 1080P HUD overlay after scaling to achieve that?

Wait, what did I miss?

Why is this "Official"?

Wasn't there a video of XBOne gameplay the other day? Why was that "Unofficial"?

Looks good. I can't tell much difference between a lot of the different gameplay trailers they have released. The comments on that video though ugh

For those of you confused, dynamic scaling means the game switches between 900p and 1080p depending on how stressed the engine is. How much time it actually spends at 1080p remains to be seen.

I actually thought the scaling technique in COD was really effective. Im guessing going into a town/caves scales it to 1080p and once your back in the open world it scales down to 900p?

They're taking the Advanced Warfare, idTech approach?

The chance of native 1080p certainly sounds better than 900p. I think more games, even native 1080p PS4 games, should be open to that for the purpose of maintaining the frame-rate.

'This is upscaled in-game automatically. It ranges from 900p to 1080p where available. Hence "dynamic".'

what does this even mean ? The game looks sometimes better, sometimes worse ?

Those xbone achievement pop-ins are disgusting, glad I don't have to suffer that.
Although I assume they are disableable ?

Game looks great though. Love the combat, ever so closer to the books.

Wait, what did I miss?

Why is this "Official"?

Because it was uploaded by some dude that got an early release of the Witcher

This one is on the Witcher Channel of youtube.

OK, so it's not "1080PR" (that was the term used to describe something like 1280x1080 with horizontal interpolation but still a vertical resolution of 1080, correct me if I'm wrong).

Yes, probably 900p during intense fights and action scenes with stuff blowing up, and 1080p when you are just walking around. Seems like a good compromise to me, when a fight is taking place, you would naturally be less focused on the pixels and image quality than when you are just walking about and exploring.

Triple Threat: Kill 3 opponents in one fight using 3 different methods (swords, bombs, crossbow.)

Did he not just blow one up and killed the other 2 with the sword?

Yup lol.

Like others have already said, it runs 1080p when not under load and drops to 900p when it is. I bet the majority of the game is at 900p but they just wanna get that 1080p number in there somewhere.
