It is on iTUNES. I's called "Bam Thwok," and Kim Deal is singing. It's pretty okay, though I'm not too fond of Kim's newfound voice. All that smoking she does has really damaged it... sounds pretty bad, actually.
A day later and about two dozen listens in, I'm totally smitten with this song. It reminds me a little of "Tipp City" off of Kim's Amps record. I love that she sings lead here. It almost seems like some sort of burying of the hatchet between her and Frank after the Deal vocals being all but absent from Trompe Le Monde. Wow, now the prospect of a new Pixies album isn't quite so horrifying. Yay!
I'll check this out if and when I get a chance. I'm surprised they put it up.
I remember the band saying in interviews that they had at least four new songs to debut. I've not heard anything about any of them, though. They're not on the ten or so bootlegs I have from this tour thus far, anyway lol.
Yeah, Pacer was an underrated album. I read somewhere that Kim said if she could do it all over again, she'd have just called the Amps the Breeders. There are always some Amps songs in the Breeders live sets too. Usually "Pacer" and "Tipp City," and sometimes "Bragging Party."
I've been looking for this song everywhere! The ony guy who has it on Soulseek isn't sharing it, none of the downloads on Shareaza work, and the torrent is down! And I can't use iTunes!
