It's a direct sequel to FFX, reusing some of the world and characters but with pretty big changes to the gameplay.

I kinda liked it but you should play it after FFX or it will spoil everything about it in the first 5 mins.

Not sure if I've played a FF game since the Super Nintendo days. I have found that since advancing into adulthood the JRPG aesthetic has become less appealing to me.

But….I just recently finished and greatly enjoyed Octopath Traveler on Game Pass. Honestly, I loved it.

Does this mean I will like something like FFX if I give it a chance since it's coming to Game Pass?

Tastes are always going to be different, but Octopath is my favourite JRPG since FFX so I'd give it a reccomend if you enjoyed the former.

X is a little on-rails at time, but the characters and world are great. The combat system is great fun. It's 4k on Xbox Series X/One X too.

Of course, with Gamepass it's worth a punt anyway. Give it to Besaid!

It's an HD remaster with character models redone and some updated textures but afaik the content is the same. In my opinion it's the last top tier FF game, the series never reached that peak in the 20 years after.
