I ran across this book in the family library, apparently it belongs to my step-dad(which is odd since he's like the guy counting the stars) and had overlooked it a million times. Last night though I needed a shorter story, like a children's book to read someone and picked this out.

I'm glad I did, because some of the stuff in this book is amazing. There's so many great quotes. I guess it's a classic, but I had never heard of it in any english or literature class. Maybe because it's french or Young Adult, but either way people should read this. I love it so far.

Yea, it's an amazing book. I'd avoid the movie though, it has it's moments and some of the visuals are nice, but man it's tough to get through. Gene Wilder as the fox though.

The movie is pretty good. Gene Wilder's best performace IMHO, and that's saying a lot.

I had to read that book in French once.

The French language, that is.

That was a difficult read.

I first got to know the character from the TV series, which was a series of innocent stories about the prince catching shooting stars from his little planetoid and traveling to various planets and helping people. The narrator of the book showed up a few times too.

I read a translation the book a few years later. It is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read.
