The body can rebound if you put the work into it, but I wouldn't say 'expect to be as healthy as you would've been staying clean the whole time.'

Also, you could be healthy as a workhorse and still have your heart crap out, so.
 
What's the word for when something looks scarily like something else, but somewhat different?

I was thinking uncanny but a quick Google suggests I'm very wrong.

A doppelganger is a lookalike - the sight of which is typically unsettling. Probably not this, but it is a beautiful word.

Uncanny valley is used commonly to refer to things that look like people but are subtly wrong.

I wnat to resume my Band activity and I am a drummer. How can I get a drum set without buying one. Because I only rent 1 room and have not enough space for a drum set.

Is there some place I can rent and practice my drumming skills?

You can buy or build electronic drums. That's what I did.
There are guides on the internet for building electronic drum triggers out of either real drums or practice pads. You can then buy a cheap midi interface to plug them into a computer and use some kind of audio software (reason/protools) and plugins for really realistic drum sounds.

EDIT:
Or just go to a local music store and play their drums.

Hyundai is a great budget brand. I've owned 2 for my daily driver, and traveled across country several times in both. Neither needed any repairs outside of normal upkeep until well after 100,000 miles.
 
What the fuck is wrong with youtube lately? Very slow loading for 360p videos, and 480p is just so fucking slow that I don't even select it anymore. Forget 720p.

Anyone else finding this?

I am looking for a picture with Jason Bourne. It is a series of pictures.

Bourne is looking through the sniper in the first picture. Then the next frame is Michael J Fox in the scope. Then the third frame is Bourne looking confused.

I don't have this problem, but one thing I'd suggest is getting an extension or greasemonkey script that automatically pre-buffers youtube videos so you don't have to deal with the tedium of pressing the pause button every time you open a youtube video to let it load. I have my addons set in both Firefox and Chrome to both auto load 720p (if available) and pre-buffer and it's awesome.

I'd recommend a Honda Civic or Mazda 3. They're both very reliable. Also, consult Consumer Reports.
 
All right guys, I'm finally beginning the search for a new HDTV (primarily for gaming) for my dorm. I can't spend anything over $550, and am looking for an LCD anywhere between 32-42 inches. I'll probably end up buying it come black Friday in November, but I figure I'd start narrowing down my search. What kind of things should I look for? While 1080p is an obvious must, I am also quite sensitive to input lag. Is there anyway to tell from a set's feature list if it has more or less of this or is it really case by case? If you guys have any input (pun totally intended) on this or recommendations of specific models that fit my needs I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

On the news feed, hover over one of these updates, there should be an X on the right. Click it and then click, "Hide __."

Otherwise just go to the bottom of her profile and click, "Remove from Friends," or possibly, "Report/Block this Person."

i had to learn a little css for a quick realestate page i had to build for my boss.
I like it a lot but dont know where to start learning everything else?
<div> is pretty great but not a full replacement for tables. all the padding and margin use individual cells is fun too. anything css related i should stay away from?

I currently use zedge.net, but find its selection to be pretty meh. You can author your own sound effects from files you own, but I'm mainly looking for video game related sound effects.
 
Okay does anyone know how to fix this? Alot of you are tech geniuses so this should be a joke to you. I tried to hook my laptop to the HDTV with the Hdmi cable. The problem is thAt on the tv screen the image does not fill up the entire tv? I can move my mouse to the edges of the tv but the websites, background, basically the whole image from the lAptop will not extend. Whats up with that?

Your TV is probably doing overscan. You need to change the zoom/picture settings. Hopefully you have something called 1:1 (one-to-one) or "Just Scan" or something similar. That should hopefully fix it. Also, you might be able to correct the issue through your video card settings if there's something in there for HDTV scaling.

Someone else with more experience than me might be able to give you more specific help.

My panasonic plasma does that, where the image doesn't fill up the whole screen, if I set the output to a resolution that isn't it's native resolution.

When I do get it at the right resolution the TV does overscan and it is too big for the screen but I scale it back using the intel display management software.

So try finding the native PC resolution for your TV and set the laptop to match.

Can you be more specific? If you can see the mouse cursor at the edge of the visible tv screen, it sounds like it's displaying properly, but then you say things don't expand all the way to the edge, which may imply different issues.

If you can, take a pic with your phone and post it here.
