Salazar said:Deist. Maybe.
Deism is more complicated than that, but it does involve the abstraction of the God posited by organised religious doctrine.

Your premise is flawed so the answer is, it cannot. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_...mming_hair_helps_it_to_grow_faster_or_thicker for a more detailed answer.Shanadeus said:Apparently hair grows out to a certain length and then slows down.
But when you cut your hair, how can your cells know that you've cut it and thus accelerate the growth until it reach that length again?
Every hair will grow a certain amount before falling out. When a part of an animal is shaved and the hair grows back the same length, that is just because hair falls out and is replaced at regular intervals.Shanadeus said:Well if it wasn't the case wouldn't people get really hairy after a while?
Same goes for animals, when you shave their fur it will grow out to the length the non-shaved areas are at.
Looked up at the various hair growth cycles and that makes sense.Dead Man said:Your premise is flawed so the answer is, it cannot. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_...mming_hair_helps_it_to_grow_faster_or_thicker for a more detailed answer.

People move the animals to the side of the road?X26 said:I've had to go on some long drives throughout the province the last few months and this has been bugging me: Why is roadkill always on the side of the road? You'd think it would always be right smack in the middle of the highway where the animal got hit.
Shanadeus said:People move the animals to the side of the road?
Or maybe the animals are launched to the side of the road from the collision?X26 said:I've considered that, but it makes no sense. No one is going to stop on the side of the road to walk in the middle of a 110km/h highway to move a dead animal out of the way.
Animals with intentions of eating the dead animal move it to somewhere safe to eat it. I've seen crows do it.Shanadeus said:Or maybe the animals are launched to the side of the road from the collision?
And smaller animals might get "spun" to the side if driven over.

Ahh! Thank you.Dead Man said:About half the threads I have made have that I thinkIt just means the thread will be about something that happened in Germany, Australia, or Florida and asks you to guess which one before reading the article. Yeah, and fabre composite, but there is not whole lot of them.Tntnnbltn said:Wood?
well, in these terms, its usually referred in context of an external face or wall of a structure. Steel and beams don't really count.X26 said:Steel for frames
edit: wait, I guess that is masonary?
Seems like wood and metal are the only ones according to Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masonry Plastic would be one if it was used for construction.faridmon said:What is non-masonary type of construction material? It seems most of them are masonary: Concrete, Bricks, Blocks, Glass, etc...
Nope, 'la paix' and 'le pet' sound the same. Of course, you would have trouble mixing them up.Futureman said:Some random guy came to the bookstore I work at the other day and told me that in French, "peace" and "flatulence" are very similar. It's only the article that comes before the word that changes the meaning (I think he said the feminine form meant peace, and the male form meant fart).

VGA can't carry an HD signal...Jimmy Stav said:Can someone tell me why my recently purchased Panasonic 1080p display won't output at 1080p when I have my laptop plugged in through VGA? I've had another TV do this just fine, but my Mac won't let me set the resolution higher than 1400x1050. The higher options are there, but it always just reverts back to that resolution. Fuck.

For your other question, if your tv doesn't have the ports you need to invest in a receiver or make the connecting cables yourself.
KamenSenshi said:Not that I have dreams of creating threads at this point, but being junior'd is perm right?
This is not correct. Look in your manual for the TV, you may be selecting the incorrect resolution - one which the TV cannot display (should be mentioned somewhere in a table that shows input formats, ie VGA/HDMI/component). Some manufacturers do not display the exact resolution that corresponds to 1080p.MrBig said:VGA can't carry an HD signal...

I was watching this guy do an amazing coloring job on a piece of Eva fanart and I got to a part that really fascinated me

He makes the pattern using a tool, and then pastes it into the file, bends it, and then warps it to fit the shape of the skirt. But it happens so bloody fast I can't figure out what he's doing to color it like that.
Anyone care to shed some light, Photoshop-GAF?

What coloring part are you talking about? The shading? Most likely he's just painting with black on a new layer and then setting the blend mode to soft light and changing the opacity. Which can also be done manually in the brush settings if he's not using layers.RurouniZel said:Hello,

I'm not really sure what you're asking for. VLC can play streaming video files if you set it up right.luiztfc said:Hello.
I just formated my pc after it's experiencing some "lag" problems. Out of nowhere, it would just stutter. A lot. And I have a i7 720, 6GB DDR3 ram.
So, what are the best free apps?
For example, last week I discovered Nitro PDF and I liked it a lot. And since I bought the membership at giantbomb, I can't use my download manager (orbit) to download the HD clips, even though I'm logged in.
What is the best download app (including streaming)? What else can you guys referrer to me?
Thanks!
