Lions Gate has picked up North American rights to "Highlander: The Journey Continues," the fifth film in Davis Panzer's lucrative "Highlander" franchise reports Variety.

Davis Panzer is planning three new "Highlander" features over the next two years, starting with "The Journey Continues," directed by Bret Leonard and starring Adrian Paul as the immortal Scottish swordsman.

Yes damn it, and I watched it every morning at 8am before school. I was so damn involved in it. It was good. Also the only continuity I ever knew but it's long since been forgotten know. Search google and you'll find maybe 2 pictures and websites with episode names and no other information.

the cartoon was just plain fucking weird. Set in the distant future (post-apocalyptic, way further than Highlander 2) and with the typical saturday morning cartoon bratty preteen as the main character and yet another resurection of Ramirez.

There really should have been only One. Everything after has been trash. The TV show occasionally managed to be ok, but overall it wasn't worth it.

The Highlander movies were never good. I mean, Christopher Lambert was the lead. Christopher Lambert! The TV show was decent, though. Adrian Paul does a good job so I approve. I don't know if I'll actually bother to see one in the theaters but I'll probably rent them.

No Lambert in the sequels, me no buy movie ticket.

Provided, of course, these aren't direct-to-DVD ordeals.

I never liked the first highlander movie... though I thought the 4th was alright.

perhaps these new ones will be more like the 4th? Then I might like it ^_^

The people who won Project GreenLight 3 for the Script Feast are doing a rewrite of the new Highlander script. That should tell you everything you need to know...

I love the first movie and the tv series(with the exception of the last two seasons, that are just fucking weird)...everything else sucks.

what we really need is a figting game (a godd one) based on the highlander franchise. get more special moves by finishing off your opponent. that would rock.

Anyone have the lyrics for that song "Can't live forever" --> not sure if that is the title.

I remember the episode where they found the anti-aircraft machine gun that was evil and never ran out of bullets.

:lol yeah because the fact that no one could kill him wasn't leg up enough, he needed a machine gun to feel superior.
