I know there are a few in here who are prolific when it comes to these programs. I'm just starting to get into PS, and just got a copy of Corel Painter, but want to really start utilizing these programs to compliment my b&w art.

What are some good forums/sites i can frequent to gain knowledge and tips on how to effectively use them?

I'd stick with just lurking at eatpoo for a while if I were you. They'll eat you alive. Concept art is nicer, but the quality suffers because of it. Eatpoo is constantly growing and the quality constantly improving, where as I've watched CA lose some credibility because of all the ass pats. Either way, the tutorials sections of both are really great. CA has more professional tutorials and such, but eatpoo has better critques and can offer better advice. Most of learning how to use your programs involves learning principals of art and how to apply them to your art using the program. Good luck, man.

If you're short on time and just need to do a particular effect, visit www.tutorialized.com. They're not particularly the best, but in those times when i can't for the life of me mimmick an effect as well as i'd like, they're usually the first i visit.
