LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) "Saturday Night Live" head writer Tina Fey, who once joked about the New York Magazine cover story "Baby Panic," no longer has that anxiety.
The 34-year-old comedian and her husband, "SNL" composer Jeff Richmond, are expecting their first baby in September, reports People magazine.
Fey is also the anchor for the sketch show's "Weekend Update" fake news program, first with co-anchor Jimmy Fallon and now with Amy Poehler.
In one news report, Fey had poked fun at magazines dramatizing the threats to potential motherhood: "The cover story of New York Magazine this week is "Baby Panic." This goes perfectly with the other magazines on my coffee table -- "Where Are The Babies?" (US); "Why Haven't You Had A Baby?" (People); and "For God's Sake Have A Baby" (Time) ... This is just what I need -- another article so depressing that I can actually hear my ovaries curling up."
Fey and Richmond, 44, met when he was a director for Chicago's famed Second City comedy troupe where she was a writer-performer. She later became "SNL's" first female head writer and has held the position for five years. Fey also has an NBC pilot in the works that's loosely based on her career.
Fey, a 2002 Emmy winner for "SNL," earned a Writers Guild nomination for the Lindsay Lohan-starring comedy "Mean Girls," her first produced feature screenplay.
