This is just for people who might be running tournaments. tio is the best software I've found for making brackets. It does single elimination, double elimination, and round robin brackets. Very easy to manage and it can export brackets as a .gif for easy posting. I'd recommend checking it out. Much better than paying for Tournament Organizer 3 or whatever.

Does it do a World Cup style tourney as well, with a round-robin round that leads into a single-elimination tourney? Or would that have to be done manually as separate things?

Yeah it can do that. It seeds them accordingly. You start a round robin and you check off something on the pools window that winners go onto an elimination tournament.
