Tricks & Tips is worth a free sub, definitely. Their Collector's Closet column alone...

Also, are these free subscription offers basically invitations to sign up for junk mail? I've never taken advantage of one.

Yeah, I've gotten a lot of junk mail from this place after signing up. I'd guess something like 2-3 pieces a week. Not a big deal, for me, but it's better to be aware before you sign up.

Nope, they do this because then they can sell ads for more money, since they can guarantee x amount of readers.


Edit: Ive never had to jump through so many hoops for one of these before.
