Tokyo bus guide 2 rules

sprsk

force push the doodoo rock
Why is driving a bus around japan so fun? You have to abide by all traffic laws and the game is still fun. Its not bout going fast, its not about gettin revenge, its just about driving your route and getting people to places on time, which isnt even hard to do.

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

what system? I remember teh first one on Dreamcast. And yah it was fun. I beleive Shinobi is a big fan of this game or so I remember from a thread years ago.

Ah, Tokyo Bus Guide. The game where you could be 15 minutes into a mission and then suddenly suffer instant death because you nudged something in your surrounding. The bus was freakishly slow too. Still, I loved the game. Must get number 2.

well..you do realize its a BUS right?

For some bizarre reason unknown, I sometimes enjoy driving cars on the right side of the road at normal speed in the GTA games. Maybe Tokyo Bus Guide is for me!

Yeah I used to drive properly back in the days of Midtown Madness sometimes. Of course, this was way before I had my license :lol

You ordered this sucker already? Didn't this just come out?

I played the Dreamcast version. They are strangely compelling for certain periods.

No, I think that's cool they are the sort of games we never get here. When I mod my ps2 I would be sorely tempted to play it but I need to wait for a bargain drop :(

To anyone that is interested, the game actually has 2 different styles of 2 player co op. The first mode is a mode where both players drive the same bus. One person drives the bus the other person takes care of closing the door, making announcements, mirrors and blinkers. It kinda reminds me of katamari's co op in a way actually.

The second type is one in which one player plays the bus driver and the other plays the passenger. This mode isn't as good as the other one but its still pretty neat. You get to yell at the driver and talk to yourself its funny (if you speak wacky jappy)

Sounds like Densha De Go's co-op. (That's the train simulator game.) I remember hearing about these kind of games during the Dreamcast days and thinking that it was pretty cool (yet ridiculous). I haven't played this bus one, but it sounds even better because you seem to have more freedom, since you're not limited to rails.

How're the graphics? Is there a lot of traffic? Pedestrians? is the city PGR-like accurate? Is there a good cockpit view of the bus? Weather effects? Will it support any wheels?

I always wanted to check this game out. Any screenshots?

The first one is easily my most played Dreamcast title. Too bad my resources (both time and money) are too limited for another TBG binge right now... Or is it? Gimme more detailed impressions!

1. The graphics are better than the dreamcast version, the people are still 2d sprites though. and sometimes your mirrors will cause a little slowdown.

2. yeah there is quite a bit of traffic

3. There are actually 3 cockpit views and they are all pretty awesome

4. weather effects, not sure yet.

5. I dont own any wheels but i assume yes.
