Rainbow Six should never have been ported to the consoles.. without the strategic planning and multi-team aspects, the game sucks, especially with the dumbed-down AI. Rainbow Six 3 was a total letdown for me after Raven Shield on the PC. I'll sell off my copy on eBay soon - I have too few games to entertain me at the moment and it's sort of fun in multiplayer..
PS. As if that wasn't enough, they took Ghost Recon and turned it into an arcade shooter I loved Ghost Recon 1 on PC damnit!
There are quite a few RB6 games for the PC, which one do you have?
Regardless, though, RB6 games are not your regular FPS shooters, they are frustrating, and more time than what you spend in the mission is spent on pre-planning where you draw assault plans and assign go codes for multiple teams.. It really depends on what kind of games you like. I would recommend it to anyone, but only 1/4 of those would really go on to play it. Steep learning curve..
I dont care what people say, I had fun planning my missions on the first Rainbow Six and giving alpha/beta/charlie go codes at specific points of the map. I had that shit planned out in every level.

Same here. I can't imagine 99% of the people who think the Xbox version is better than the PC version have actually played both. RS3 on the Xbox is like the second or third game in several years I've ever actually returned.

I guess I fall into the 1% that thinks the Xbox version of Rainbow 6: III is better on the X-Box than the PC. Not the single player but multiplayer on LIVE is brillant as long as certain weapons are disabled.
X-Box LIVE Rainbow 6: III is a masterpiece console first person shooter. It's stunning how bad Black Arrow is.
