Looks awesome. Interesting that it seems like it's in 4:3. Bet it'll be great in IMAX.

October '26 ....

It's absurd that they announce forthcoming movies a year ahead with the message "ONLY IN THEATERS" -- and two weeks after the film premiere they're already available for streaming...

I was just listening to the Demon Days album earlier.

Sounds interesting from a description I saw:
The comedy follows the most powerful man in the world who tries to prove he is humanity's savior before his own disaster destroys everything

Cruise is involved, so it'll probably be exclusive to theaters for 2 months at least, IIRC he generally has demanded 4 months.

The two scenes in that teaser looked beautiful. How do people compose shots to look that good? I don't actually want to know.

Given the pedigree of the director, I could see this being the start of the Missile's next era of non-action actor man.

Jk, just read that Digger is the "most powerful man in the world". So maybe it is action.

Talent and effort.

The best directors and cinematographers take time to light and compose a scene artistically.

^ Any frame from Barry Lyndon could hang on your wall as a painting.

Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon.

"Cut, cut! Baby, I want REAL EMOTION from you! I want to feel the life stress of 3 months of pitiful existence as high nobility! The ennui, the jaded feeling of "oh look, yet another nanny here to feed me!". Can you do it baby, can you give me that? Alright, take 45!"

I have no idea if Kubrick was loud on set but I belive he was notorious for a metric shitload of takes, right?
