Tom Hardy fired from Mobland

The first season was pretty good aside from some bullshit episodes where Hardy basically turns into a one-man army, because up until then the show was what I'd actually call grounded.

As for the news, I mean, I don't know the guy personally but judging from the articles and descriptions, he comes across like a proper cunt whose success went straight to his head.

I never got it, being paid millions of Eurodollars and... You're always late on set ? The fuck out of here, that's a complete lack of respect towards the people involved.

Must be really tough being rich and famous so that you can't show up on time, eh ?

There are just people that are so good that you have to appease them or ruin your show.

How did this even continue after S1 though. Seemed to be well wrapped up. Good show.

Truth be told I'm a huge Pierce Brosnan fan but the show won't be what it was intended without Tom.

Whatever, I'd just randomly do a full "nobody's heard from that nigga" episode, then have some new dude walk in like, "Yeah, I took care of that old loser." Then reveal it's somebody like Adam Driver or Barry Keoghan running shit now.

Yeah probably won't watch past Season 2, but I can't really blame the producers. By all accounts Tom Hardy is a massive douchebag. It's a shame because he's probably in way less stuff than he would be if he could just work with people.

That being said, he absolutely was the show, so there's absolutely no need to continue it now. They effectively cancelled their own show.

First series was good. Now I'm out.

Don't give two shits if he was "difficult" to work with. I don't need to know how the sausage is made. I just need to know if it tastes good.

Damn, Shit like that and I'm a lot more forgiving of directors who choose to work with the same folks even if they are a bit miscast at times.

Showing up late is unforgivable, IMHO. I get that artists can be wacky and actors are a tempestuous lot, but if you wanna be a primadonna, go be a painter or pet where its just yourself you are hurting by being like that.

And in Mad Max, I could hardly understand a word he spoke.

He's seems type-cast now as a hardman/geezer/gangster ever since he did Legend. It will be interesting to see if he can lose that.

The only performances that I've really liked of his were in Locke, and The Revenant.

I've always got that vibe from him. Maybe that's why i like his villain or asshole roles, but don't like him at all when playing a "nice guy" like in Venom. The dude is the movie equivalent of a wrestling heel lol.
 
Zero excuses should be given for someone who often shows up hours late. A grown adult, at that.

Directors should just stop casting him.

Always knew he was a cunt. Was on the Jonathon Ross show Once and Ross was trying to have a joke with him and hardy was being a cunt .

Overacts in everything he's in and he can't do accents to save his life.
 
Nah you guys, Tom Hardy is based. He's just following the footsteps of James Gandolfini who occasionally refused to even film until the writers adjusted Tony Soprano's lines because James wanted things to sound differently sometimes than what the producers imagined.

These Mobland producers sound like they want people to kneel and kiss their shoes

It's a really strange decision to fire your biggest star by far. It's going to be like The Witcher where even more people will abandon the show because of the recast or character replacement. Should've finished the season and cancelled the whole thing.

Wasn't the Gandolfini thing because he refused to film a scene where he was supposed to jerk off in a bathrom? this is not the same.

Actors are hired to do a job, show up and play the part, they are supposed to do what the producers say.
 
Given modern Hollywood writers I'm not surprised he wanted to change lines but its the turning up late for filming, no excuse for that.
