It's the easiest and fastest change they can make - it's also necessary. If they're going to release games that don't make money, Microsoft needs to make cuts to balance things.

A large audience of ignorers -- mostly on Reeeeeeeee -- chose to mislabel valid concerns as "anti-consumer" and "Pro-exclusion".

Those same chirpers are quiet as fuck now. CFO's running anything creative is how you get to a bunch of cancellations, layoffs, GaaS's with zero identity, studio closures, marketing that makes zero sense, price hikes, etc. It's going to get worse for Xbox, count on it.
