EDIT: Read the post. Seems like a very small team working.

I'd think CD would be busy working on the next control TR given the success of Legend, so it'd be better to allow Core to do this as long as they use the new mechanics. It should be fine, not much to worry about. Add the new controls and we already know the content from the original TR is still great.
Please be patient and appreciate that a particular small Core team (of the 60 development staff at the Derby office which has not been disbanded or closed down and is still making games) is very annoyed with the way this trailer has been dealt with.
On May 11, 2006 it was announced that Core's assets and staff were sold to indie development group Rebellion. Eidos still owns the Core brand but it's unlikley there will be anymore new games under the Core Design banner, however an 'Atari'-like regeneration of the name and rebranding of existing games is not unexpected (see Infogrames)

So Core had nothing remaining other than the name. You could see where I was a little worried.

Where do I find the info Eidos canned it?SolidSnakex said:It was not only real but it was also 80% complete. And the geniuses at Eidos still canned it. The engine was Core's own engine so they weren't using the Legend engine. Also a PS2 version of it existed.
Depressing

They said "WATCH THIS SPACE" for exciting news!! Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. Our exciting news is the exciting product you saw doesn't really have any chance of ever happening.

SolidSnakex said:Basic run down from what i've gathered
- 9 months of development
- 80% complete
- In house engine by Core
- PSP and PS2 versions
- Some changes but it was still TR
- Difficulty was ramped up
- If there is a anniversary game it won't use that engine and Core won't be the developer
