Lots of interesting questions!

http://xbox.ign.com/articles/569/569953p1.html

IGN Xbox: We know about a number of Team Ninja projects in the works (Code Cronus, DOA 4, Ninja Gaiden 2). What order can we expect them in? Which is next?

Itagaki: DOA 4 is the main project for now. Without DOA4, there will be no Ninja Gaiden2, DOAX2 or Cronus.

IGN Xbox: Some people love the reversal system, others aren't big fans. Will reversals be changed at all in DOA 4?

Itagaki: DOA is made for people who love DOA. This is my answer.

IGN Xbox: When will we get our first look at DOA 4?

Itagaki: When it's most effective for many reasons.

IGN Xbox: Now that Dead or Alive Ultimate is out, how do you feel about the final product?

Itagaki: I think it turned out really nice. Weren't you surprised by the online feature?

IGN Xbox: Is DOA Ultimate the last Team Ninja game for the Xbox before Xbox 2 launches?

Itagaki: Most likely, yes. Arrival of the next generation machine is closer than you think. TeamNINJA's focus is already on the new machine.

More at the link.

I'm guessing DOA4 will be shown off at either CES or E3. (which is why he states "for many reasons")

IGN Xbox: You've been a big supporter of Xbox and, from what we hear, will be heavily behind Xbox 2 as well. Do you have any plans to make games for PS3 or Nintendo Revolution?

Itagaki: I should be able to talk about that soon. I promise.

Hrm.

"Itagaki further revealed that DOAX 2, a sequel to Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball would be forthcoming in the future, though it may not deal with the sport of volleyball this time out."

If this is a xbox 2 launch title or comes out short after, I would kiss Itagaki's acne scarred face! :D

i was thinking at first maybe microsoft just flat out bought tecmo but the fact that he says that doa4 is needed to get ninja gaiden, doax2, and code cronus going pretty much negates that theory.

Or they could all suddenly tie in Storyline wise =P

All that talk about DOA4 and the interviewer didn't think to ask Itagaki if he's played Tekken 5? Talk about a missed opportunity. :lol

DOA4 @ XENON LAUNCH
-Insane graphics
-Some new characters/moves
-New Environments
-Refined Online play
-Hopefully more depth in gameply and modes (a la VF4).

I really assume he's going to announce some games for other platforms unless their in some sort of negotiation about exclusivity. I noticed in the last GI he says that he fell in love with the Xbox, not Microsoft and that he still would work on any platform that offered him the best showcase. He's been saying things like that a lot, but I don't know if it's for positioning a deal with MS or because he really feels that way.

My name is Itagaki and I want to say
That I'm a crazy motherfucker from around the way.
I bust out a shitstorm you can't swerve
My dick is twice as long as Ninja Gaiden's learning curve.

I think it's because all those games will use the same engine.

DOA: XBV, DOA: U and NG all use the DOA3 engine as the baseline.

You gotta admit that he's terribly honest. He's an asshole, and his fighting games suck compared to the competition, and he can't see that his game lacks depth compared to others, and he can't even defeat someone who's never played DOA before in two rounds...but he's honest. and Ninja Gaiden rocked.
