Top 10 Justice Leage Episodes?

I saw this Watch Mojo vid a little while ago and it almost makes me want to go back and watch it, but I want to know what are your personal favorite episodes of JL and JLU. Justice League/Unlimited and Young Justice are among my favorite shows. It's insane how good they are.

Here are my personal 10.

1200.jpg
1. Epilogue (Because it wraps up Terry's story revealing that him becoming Batman wasn't a coincidence and in fact, he's Bruce's son. You also get a very touching scene with Batman and Ace.)

2. Wake the Dead (Solomon Grundy was insanely strong in this one and it also brought back Hawkgirl and had a very touching ending with Grundy's second death. This is also the last episode we see with Amazo in it. He goes a few lightyears away to devise a plan to stop Grundy and never comes back. That was weird.)

3. For the Man Who Has Everything

A great episode where Wonder Woman and Bruce go to give Superman a present at the Fortress of Solitude and find him trapped in the dreams of Black Mercy; an alien plant that slowly kills the person its attached to while giving the person a realistic illusion of their life's dreams. Hear, you find Superman in a still existent Krypton with a wife, son, living parents, and a comfortable life before he loses it all.

4. Hereafter
A gang of superheroes wrecks shit to get the attention of the Justice Leauge. While trying to save Wonder Woman he gets hit by Toyman's ray and the world presumes him dead. They have a funeral and everything and then Lobo comes and joins temporarily, but nobody wants him in because he's basically an ass. Superman didn't actually die and instead Toyman's ray was a time beam that sent him 30,000 years in the future. Superman had a great beard and teamed up with a psychotic Vandal Savage.

5. Question Authority

6. The Return (Amazo comes back and he wants Lex's blood. The entire Justice League sets up barriers to keep him at bay and Amazo goes through them like nothing and even killing Red Tornado. Lex somehow brilliantly prevents his own death and with the assist of Dr. Fate offers him purpose.)

7. Double Date: Just a fun episode for me centering around 4 mostly non-powered characters.

8. Only a Dream: You get a look into the fears of all the Justice League members. Flash's is the most notable for me as he fears going too fast and being stuck in time while everyone else around him is motionless, practically being the sole person in the world. Batman also shows off his badassery by staying up all night and beating Dr. Destiny at his game. I mean, it's no sweat for Bats. He fights Scarecrow every Thursday. I always find Jon's fear out of left field. It looks like he fears being rejected by the black community, but you don't really get any of his pro-black aspects in his character throughout the show.

9. Wild Card: A nice episode that pits the Joker as the main antagonist which makes me nostalgic for BTAS. Ace is first seen here, Hawkgirl's face is seen here for the first time and she's beautiful, plus you get that great moment when Harley punches Batman in the face out of nowhere.

10.Task Force X: Only 20 something minutes, but it's way better than the Suicide Squad movie. The writer actually had a sense a what a group like this should be used for. They were performing a heist in one of the most dangerous places possible. The team consisted of Rick Flagg, Deadshot, Boomerang, Plastique, and Clock King. Despite none of them having powers they didn't feel strange or useless given the mission. Each of them had a defined role and got their dedicated moments. They also acted like villains too and stabbed each other in the back. It was intense and you felt the weight of the situation. If Suicide Squad 2 eventually happens they should follow a format similar to this.

Here's a list of the episodes in case you forgot the titles.

I really liked the one where Batman had to sing to save miss piggy Wonder Woman. Am I misremembering? If I am, oh well. My memory is cooler.

Ah, I remember that one!

It's been so long since I watched any of the DCAU but I remember enjoying the 4 part finale where they fight
Luthor/Brainiac
and then the Twilight 2 parter that opened Season 2. Kinda blew my mind what happened in that as a season opener (iirc), rather than it being a series finale.

Edit: OH! Also the episode where Lex and Flash mind-swapped and Lex unmasked Flash in the Watchtower bathroom and had absolutely no idea who he was looking at. Also I liked the Legacy ep of SATS where Superman shouted at Darkseid for murdering that detective (whose name I have forgotten) who looked like Jack Kirby

You are not misremembering, that was a real thing that happened in Justice League.

One of my favorites was Flash and Substance, where Flash is deeply loved and admired in his city and even his Rouges all respect him, and Orion doesn't understand why.

My favorite one is where Superman gets sent to the future, grows a beard/gets a sword, fights some wolves, and has to deal with an insane Vandal Savage who is the only human survivor on the planet Earth.

1) Destroyer (Superbly ends story threads started nine years earlier in STAS)
2) For the Man Who Has Everything
3) Flash and Substance
4) Legends
5) The Great Brain Robbery
6) Question Authority
7) Divided We Fall
8) The Greatest Story Never Told
9) A Better World
10) Only a Dream

Only a Dream and A Better World always stuck with me for whatever reason.

I always thought The Terror Beyond was interesting because what the hell was that Aquaman, Grundy, and Doctor Fate group.

Secret Society, Hereafter, and The Savage Time were really awesome as well.

I don't remember episode names, just a few 'Holy Shit' moments from the series.

- "Injustice" Universe Superman beating Doomsday in two seconds by lobotomizing him with heat vision.

- The Task Force X/Suicide Squad Episode and how it ended with Flagg sacrificing one of the members (Napalma?) to complete the mission

- Superman and Shazam beating the living shit out of each other in Metropolis. Probably the biggest "super battle" of the entire series. With whole skyscrapers and buildings falling down around them. I remember the episode explained the collateral deaths away by saying it was all "empty Lex Corps apt. buildings " or something, haha. Followed by Shazam/innocent Billy Batson quitting the League for them being "the bad guys".

- That Batman Beyond episode that continued the BB story AND gave us more origin into Terry McGuinness.

Gonna take me a while to think of my favorites, but goddamn I just wanna say Amazo was an OP motherfucker in the DCAU.

10. The Savage Time (who doesn't love a good time travel beat-'em-up?)
9. Tabula Rasa (poor Amazo got so mind-fucked :( )
8. A Better World
7. War World
6. For the Man Who Has Everything
5. Dark Heart
4. Hereafter
3. The Terror Beyond
2. Divided We Fall
1. Epilogue

"Destroyer" is also an amazing as fuck episode, and the speech Supes gives is great.

The one where flash and Luther swap bodies may not be the most epic but it's fucking HILARIOUS. When flash is in Luthor's body and goes to the bathroom, one of the villains goes "you didn't wash your hands" and he says "No, I didn't. Because I'm evil" lol fucking classic.

Fuck man. That's hard. I love that series so much. To pick favorites....oh god. I'd have an easier time stating which ones I don't like.

"Metamorphosis"
"Hearts and Minds"
"Hawk and Dove"
"Ancient History"

This concludes episodes that I don't like. And even then I still enjoy them, since pretty much every episode has something I like. I find most stories focusing on John Stewart to be boring since I find him to be boring. "Hawk and Dove" is just a fucking travesty, though. On every level.

I'll come up with a list of standout ones for me. God I've watched this show so many times...

There is an amazing part in The Return, where Atom talks to Lex and says something like, "We will stop him Lex." The way John C. McGinley stated this line, was just so amazing.

In any case it is, Epilogue, then everything else.

Alright, so, for favorite episodes, in no particular order:

"Starcrossed"
"Far From Home"
"Chaos at the Earth's Core"
"Destroyer"
"Question Authority"
"Ultimatum"
"Wake the Dead"
"Dead Reckoning"
"Epilogue"
"Legends"

This was tough, and honestly, my list is still fluctuating.

Do you like Eclipsed? I haven't watched that episode I think, but one time, but that goofy old guy puts me off of that episode. The only episode I can't stand.

I fucking love when he takes off the mask and looks in the mirror then says "I have no idea who this is."

Luthor is the best character on that show.

In no particular order

Flash and Substance
The Greatest Story Never Told
Hereafter
Question Authority
Kid's Stuff
The Once and Future Thing
Comfort and Joy
Destroyer!
The Savage Time
Grudge Match

The Greatest Story Never Told might be my favorite overall. In 22 minutes, you can go from having no idea who the hell Booster Gold is to being a big fan of his.

Was this the one with "world of cardboard" ? Awesome moment.

Yup. Great finish to the Apokolips arc.

"The Great Brain Robbery". Great ep.

A lot of them are great but Clash (captain marvel episode, ends with a great speech) and For the Man who Has Everything are two of my favorites.

I didn't at first, but I went back and quite honestly it's too damn hilarious. Mophir is the greatest. Like it's dumb as fuck, but also hilarious and one of very few Flash episodes

In no particular order:

-Comfort & Joy
-A Knight of Shadows
-Only A Dream
-Maid of Honor
-The Terror Beyond
-Legends
-Starcrossed
-Twilight
-Dead Reckoning
-Patriot Act

Season 2 had my favourite episodes in the series, which is why I find it to be a bummer that they are largely ignored in most top 10 lists.

Top Justice League episodes for me would probably be.

Epilogue
Hereafter
Flash & Substance
Starcrossed
Alive / Destroyer
Question Authority
The Great Brain Robbery
The Savage Time
For The Man Who Has Everything
A Better World

Honorable mentions to, Wild Cards, Legends, United We Fall, Kid's Stuff, Far From Home, Maid of Honor, Tabula Rasa, Double Date etc...

So many good ones though as you can see, so putting a top ten together would be hard.

I really liked the one where Batman had to sing to save miss piggy Wonder Woman. Am I misremembering? If I am, oh well. My memory is cooler.

Yup, it's the one where Batman sings "Am I Blue too!" It's a classic!

That Superman's parents line his presents with lead so he can't peek is the most adorable shit ever.

I love how Hereafter turns into a brief pitch black comedy.

"Hey! You wanna come over for lunch? It's not like you have anything better to do."

The Man Who Has Everything is probably my favorite if we're talking about Unlimited. Mongul was great in it, the chemistry between Batman and Wonder Woman in the early part of the episode was good, and Supermans arc in it was good as well.
