Home Video Essentials, a product of Rentrak Corporation, has released a preliminary list of the top renting videogames for the week ending August 1, 2004.
Here are the top 10:
1. Spider-Man 2PS2
2. NCAA Football 2005PS2
3. DRIV3RPS2
4. Spider-Man 2Xbox
5. Red Dead RevolverPS2
6. DRIV3RXbox
7. NCAA Football 2005Xbox
8. Need for Speed: UndergroundPS2
9. Red Dead RevolverXbox
10. Fight Night 2004PS2
An almost identical list of games in this weeks top 10, with only EAs Fight Night 2004 replacing Midway's NBA Ballers on the list. The PS2 version of Spider-Man 2 led the way once again, earning an estimated $598,315 in the week, more than enough to best NCAA Football 2005, also for the PS2, which brought in some $394,387 in rental income.
