He's in a shadow. If you're in a shadow, you shouldn't have one, and if you do, it should be very faint.

Does Top Spin on Xbox do much worse than these screenshots? I can't really remember any significant difference compared to these screenshots. This looks major weak IMO.

I noticed that, but he doesn't seem to be in complete shadow. Just seems like there should be something there, if only under the feet. *shrugs*

It's an early build, so no big deal regardless.

Looks fine to me. 3D crowd, nice lighting/shadowing, 720p and at 60fps I would expect. As long as it's got online doubles I'll be picking this up.

A valid argument in terms of gameplay (feels just like the original), but visually it's definitely a noticeable step up. Is it going to sell anyone an Xbox 360 based on "wow" factor? No. But it's certainly nothing that could be done on current gen.

People rag on EA but at least they are trying next gen. 2K sports is just being lazy and getting the early money while its hot by porting current gen stuff to next gen. I hope they charge 60 dollars for these quasi gen pieces of shit and the games bomba in the process.

Well, I haven't seen it in person but I don't see how these screenshots look any better than the Top Spin (1) screenshot I posted.

(I know TS1 didn't actually look like that in gameplay, but my point is that if you take TS1 and make it HD you get TS2)
edit: Actually, I'm playing TS1 right now and I think it does look just as good as these shots and TS2.

There are only 2 problems I see, an unrealistic colour palette, and the clothes look horrible.

Other than that, it's pretty good. I think a couple of the shots is missing self shadowing, or it's not done as the shadows are soft (considering the time of day).

Top Spin isn't a Microsoft title anymore, they sold it to 2k Sports along with their sports studio.

The sequel sucks ass visually from the e3 build. The pace of the game also seemed a step down.
