I want to do an exchange for the same item since it's defective. Does TRU open and gut the new copy like Best Buy does or can I leave with the new exchanged copy still in its shrinkwrap?
TRU policy on opened electronics is even exchange for the exact item. The item will be opened and all seals broken so you cannot take it back and get the money for it.
As for a different title, hell no. We are not a rental service.
